Birthday: May 9th 2000 Likes: Bully Stix Pet-Peeves: Mean ol' humans who hog the people food Favorite Toy: My goofy brother, Wilson! Favorite Food: People food that my humans won't let me eat! Favorite Walk: The path to my food bowl Best Tricks: Telling time, reading minds, being psychic (I know when Mama is "indisposed" and THEN I ARRooo outside BIG-TIME!! *wink*) Arrival Story: I was a prezzie to my Mama when she was going through a very hard time. Not long after, Mama decided I needed a brother or sister, and she really wanted a rescue. So she looked and looked and she and Daddy found my goofy but lovable brother, Wilson, all the way up at GABR! He was found skinny and hurt in winter time in Indiana, and fostered by nice folks in Michigan. We hit it off swell, and I loves him so much! (Don't tell him, though! He'll get a big ol' head!) Mama has been working with Basset Rescue ever since, and we all think that poor pound doggies, and fosters, and rescues all need to have a forever home. That is my biggest, biggest wish! Of all time! Bio: My family and I are called "The Roo Crew."
My middle names, Noel and Rose, were given to me in honor of my two bestest basset friends who went to Rainbows Bridge. I miss them ever so much! Thank you fur-riends for being there for us, even during our absence. Mama has been feeling lousy for months, and now she's found a lump in her breast that her doctor is concerned about. Just what she needs. /sarcasm
When will our Mama get a BREAK?? Please cross your pawsies for her? She is scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound on the 17th -- earlier if there is a cancellation. She is beyond worried, and we are soooo worried for her!
Bless you all!
Piper, Wilson, and all of the Nashville Roo Crew
Please see my photos to see a picture of how Ralph is looking better! Got a new picture of him up in the #2 position. He probably looks even better than this now!
Thank you, thank you, all of you who helped Ralphie!
Luv,
Piper, and Wilson,
and ALL The Roo Crew
P.S. Don't forget that Chance the senior basset hound still has a long way to go to reach his goal. Please?
RE: TENNESSEE SHELTER CLOSING 6/30! DOGS WILL DIE! REPOST
OMG and they are all smily faces! if you can foster or adopt please save them :((((
Elephant Awareness Date: Jun 16, 2007 7:59 AM Please help these dogs find homes. They must be moved by June 28th or will be euthed. PLEASE CROSSPOST If you can rescue any of these dogs contact cody@happyendingsanimalrescue.com (mailto:cody47@bellsouth.net) (http://www.happyendingsanimalrescue.com) http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TN259.html SPECIAL NOTE: Our adoptions are going very slow - I am sad to announce that the dogs you see listed below, if they don't get adopted or fostered by the end of the month will have to be euthanized. The City of Nashville is closing this Rescue down due to Zoning Laws. There is only a few days left, if you have room to take one of these great dogs please contact us as soon as possible. I am trying to gather the money to file an appeal with the appeal board and this case would then be presented to a 7 member board of people who are not with the Planning and Zoning Board - the Zoning Department is trying to say that Happy Endings Animal Rescue is a Kennel and because we collect money for Adoptions, (which basically pays to spay or neuter, plus update shots and rabies certificate) they are saying were a business and they are saying this property is not zoned to be a Commercial Limited property with a special kennel permit. I am going to present my case that this a not a Kennel or Business that collects money for boarding dogs and this Rescue has been here for 5 years and saved over 350 dogs and gotten them into loving forever homes. By filing the appeal, this will give this Rescue another 30 to 45 days to prepare our case and hopfully find more homes for the dogs that are left - this will cost money to file the appeal - money I don't have - please make a donation so we can file the appeal which needs to be filed by June 27,07 or I loose my option to file an appeal. For those who Donate to help save these dogs - it will still cost money to pay all the bills to keep this place going while I prepare my case and file the appeal - plus I still have to work part-time - take care of these dogs that are left and keep all the bills up. My life is very stressfull right now - There have been many times I wanted to get in my car and run as fast as I can - but reality sets back in and I have to try everything I can to save as many of these dogs as I can. Our Metro Animal Control has been quoted as saying that they are putting down an average of 100 dogs a day, so what chance do I have of these dogs finding a home if the city closes this Rescue down and the dogs left are taken to the pound. Please continue to support this Rescue till our last day - you will know when this Rescue is closed down when you come to this Web Site and nothing is here - Please continue to show your support, we owe it to these dogs... OUR CURRENT LIST OF ADOPTABLE PETS -( Just Click Their Picture To Go To Their Profile For More Information) The Pictures that you see of these wonderful Dogs, do not do them justice as to their personalites - that you will have to see when you come to our Adoption Days - every Saturday - from April 28, 2007 to June 30,07 - if you don't come you could be passing up on a wonderful family pet. Many More on Web site... Please help save them
