New Sissy

Well it has been a couple of months now since my new sissy moved in. She is 10 years old, named Shelbi and Mommy says she was Daddy's mom's dog and will be living with us now. I've had to try to show her who is boss around here but Mommy keeps stopping me. Shelbi has lots of toys so that has been fun. Over all I think this is going to work out.

My Bubby Rebel

That big Bubby of mine has not been feeling well. He hasn't wanted to play with me, Mommy has had to pick him up and carry him to the house and out to potty the last couple of days. Today Mommy got up and took him away in the car with her and sissy. When she came home he wasn't with them. She hugged me really tight and told me that he wasn't coming back. I licked Mommy's face where there was wet stuff coming out of her eyes and that seemed to make her smile. He was too sick to keep going but someday I will get to see him again and he doesn't hurt any more. Wonder if those furry "toys" he use to chase will want me to play with them now. I sure will miss him.

"Furry" Toys in the Yard

Well living in the country is quite an intresting place to be. We have a fence but there are so many things to see and smell and such. I've been being a good girl and staying in the fence, it makes Mommy happy. Well we have been having visitors at night and Mommy doesn't know half of them I'm sure. They look like fun and wow they look just like the furry toys Mommy buys but they MOVE by themselves. Bubby can not resist playing with them. Last week Mommy said the one she took away from him was a rabbit and she didn't want him to rip it open and get blood on him. It was 2 am and Mommy let us out and Bubby well he took off across the yard and we heard something banging on the chainlink fence. I ran to go see and he snaped at me so I got back on the porch fast and cried where Mommy was. She went out and made Bubby put it down and then took it off in the woods where I think it got up and went away or something else got to eat it because it was gone in the morning. Tonight well I'm stuck outside because Mommy said she has to figure out how to deal with us but I keep whimpering hoping she will let me in. The furry toy tonight was really cool it was multi colored black with a wide white stripe on it. We cornered it behind the old sandbox. I hadn't been out very long cause I was sleeping comfy with Mommy, Daddy and Kit in the big bed and she let me out to go potty when I asked her to. Well Rebel started chasing something and was barking. I almost never use my bark voice but wow that was fun. I barked and barked my really deep bark till Mommy came and she looked behind the sandbox and saw it and started yelling at us and she put me in the house for a few moments and got her shoes. Rebel took off across the yard with it in his mouth and Mommy really started freaking out. She yelled and yelled at Bubby but he ran to the other side of the yard. I just stayed on the porch with Mommy. It finally got out of his mouth and ran off around the corner of the fence. It smells really funny around here. Mommy checked out Bubby really good and he had one of his teeth all the way through his lip and she had to pull his lip off his tooth it was wierd looking. Well that's my story about "Furry toys" in the yard. Hope everyone else has fun with the "furry toys" in their own yards.

My visit

Whew I am one tired pup. I had a great visit at Ms. Renee's house. I had never been there before but I liked it. Mommy says I get to go back and stay for almost 2 weeks. I got really tired but it was fun. There are 4 kids that live there and the oldest is only 6 yrs old. Then there is my new friend Tiki and Little Bit. A friend of Ms. Renee has 2 little bitty dogs and they were there some too. There was never a dull moment. I even got to sleep with Ms. Renee and one night I slept with one of the kids. I'm glad mommy found somewhere for me to visit when she has to go away. I get so worried when there is just someone coming by and checking on us and feeding us. Rebel didn't like all the business so he's staying at home next time and someone will come check on him and feed him. He sure is getting to be an old man and likes to be by himself alot. Well hope every one has a great Christmas.

OK The white stuff came back.

I know I haven't been here in quite some time. I have finished the obedience class I was taking. Didn't really learn anything new but I made some new friends and learned about getting along with others. We have had a great fall. It has been fun to have such a big back yard to play in and Bubby and I run and romp and run some more. Hard to believe but last Friday night Bubby kept insisting on going outside and wanted mommy out there too. She finally gave up and went in the house, got a coat and his ball and came back out. When I got back out there with her that wet white stuff was coming out of the sky again. Everyone made a big deal out of it and Sissy came out and chased me and threw "snowballs" for Bubby. It was lots of fun and I had lots of fun eating the stuff it is sooooooooo cold and wet and oh how I liked to just get it in my mouth. Mommy was surprised that we had any this early cause we do live only about an hour north of New Orleans. Well it may be a while before we do it again so I'll post if we do.

What I did

I have been working very hard for several weeks and I have earned what Mommy calls my CGC. It has been fun every other week my mommy has been taking me to an obedience class. I liked meeting other dogs and getting to go out and about. It took me a while to figure out what Mommy wanted. Those "treat" things she had really helped. After several weeks of it I did all my stuff for an "evaluator" Mommy called him. They gave Mommy a piece of paper and said I got my Canine Good Citizen. I wonder what that is I just know it's good to sit and get the treat.

Neat things happen

Wow Mommy said something neat happened while we were asleep I got picked to have my diary on the Dogster Featured Diary page. She thought that was really cool. Wish she could just stay home and snuggle all day as a reward for it but she says she has to go to work now.

wow what a long time

Wow it's been a really long time since I got to come visit my page. Mommy, sissy, rebel, daddy and that great black and white little furry thing called Mrs. Kitty all moved into the same house. I love the new house and mommy has been able to let me stay outside alot almost every day while she is gone but sometimes daddy lets me in during the day. Mommy started taking me to this class thing for "obedience". She says I do really really well sitting and laying down when I'm told but this class will help me be even better and will help me learn some other things. Don't know about the "obedience" part but spending the afternoon at a park with mommy and getting to meet some new pup friends was great. I was soooooooo tired that I slept all the way home and sacked out for the night really early. We will go every two weeks till sometime in July. Look back for updates on how my learning is going.

A wonderful walk

Well I didn't know we were going for a walk but when bubby opened the front door and went out I decided I should go with him. I headed off with him and Mommy of course was already outside and followed us for a bit across the street and through the neighbors yard till bubby went in the woods. Then she turned around and went home can you believe it she was going to just leave me walking in the woods with bubby. I couldn't belive that she was going home with out me so I took off and headed home really fast. She put a leash on me and got one for bubby and we went walking looking for him in the back pasture and down to the pond but he got tired and decided to go home so Mommy and I enjoyed our walk and came home. It was fun to go for a walk with her.

Furry thing

There was another one but I didn't get to cary it around. This time I kept sniffing at the kitchen cabinet, where the water comes from up top, and Mommy heard a noise in it. She put one of those things called a trap in it and went to sleep. Well I kept checking it out and hearing funny noises. Mommy was awake on the couch just before the sun comes up and when she normally takes me and bubby out. There was this really loud noise and some rattling. I ran over to the cabinet and back to Mommy and back to the cabinet. She kept telling me she was coming but I was sooooooo excited. It smelled like one of those things I found in Mommy's room that time. She opened the cabinet and sure enough there one was with that trap thing attached. Looked like it would be alot more fun if Mommy would take that thing off and just let me play with it but she didn't. I've even been a very very good girl and not gotten in the trash where she put it. (of course I've never gotten in the trash I just get in the dirty clothes lol) Well so much for today.
