One day back in Sept. 2006 my boss mentioned to me that if anyone was looking to adopt a dog, that another co-worker of ours was looking to give away her puggle puppy. He not knowing that for two months I had been looking to adopt just about any dog.. I jumped on the opportunity. I was given alot of warnings that he wasn't house broken yet and liked to chew everything!!! Hearing the situation that Max was in, I realized that this little puppy just needed some TLC.. So that weekend, Max was all mine! It only took me a week to house break him, although he can have accidents here and there.. The chewing will take some time but for the most part he just loves to take your shoe so you will chase him!
I have a Doggy Day Care next door to my office that just recently opened up, so I looked into the facilities and what they had to offer. They are great with dogs. They are all certified trainers and also breeders of Bull Dogs...I didn't even have to think twice about signing Max up! After his first week with me, he was signed up with Doggy Day Care and he just loves it!!! He gets so excited in the morning when we approach the door to the day care, he can't wait to get in there and play with all his doggy pals!
pug·gle (p?g'gle) n.
a small hybrid breed of dog created by mating a pug and beagle; thereby producing an energetic hound having: a thickset body; a short-haired, smooth coat of fawn, tan, and black coloring; a deeply wrinkled forehead; short legs; a curled tail; and drooping ears.
Puggles grow to be 15-30 lbs. and approximately 13-15 inches at the shoulder.
Consists of short hairs. Puggles come in a wide range of colors. Fawn puggles are the most common, but some are tan, black, white, or tri-colored.
Puggles are sweet-tempered, playful, intelligent, social, and affectionate.
This breed gets along well with children, other dogs, and other household pets.
Puggles have a good amount of energy and love to play. They enjoy going on walks and running around. Puggles also love their downtime. They are really good lap dogs and love to cuddle up to you.
Puggles do shed. Their short hair and small size seem to minimize the problem.
Puggles do bark. Some more than others.
A Puggle is not a hypoallergenic dog.
Some Puggles do howl on occasion. They can inherit this trait from the beagle genes.
