The vet called today. The pathology report came in today. Lucky's tumor was malignant. :( However, the good news is that it was "low malignant" and he said that they removed the tumor with good margins and he has a very good feeling about a complete recovery with no reoccurance. He said that chemo or radiation is still an option, but I just can't do that to her. We're going to have some faith and keep a very watchful eye on her and hope for the best.
Otherwise, she is doing FANTASTIC. She's moving around much better. HATES the cone around her head, but needs it because she is constantly biting at her stitches. LOVES the extra TLC and is even being very friendly to our little guinea pig whom she normally ignores or swats at if he gets too close.
Right now she is "grooming" her little mommy's leg and waiting very patiently for me to get off this computer and give her one of her doggy ice cream treats.
Have a good night....

I was really surprised yesterday when we picked her up from the vet because Lucky walked out into the lobby looking pretty perky and so excited to see her family. I thought she would be carried out or at least be limping or something! But as soon as we walked in the door of our house, she instantly became helpless and needed tons of pampering and TLC. Right now she is asleep on her Barbie Princess blanket snoring contentedly away at my feet.
So, Lucky went the Diva route as we knew she would. She can walk today, but refuses to do so because she knows we'll get tired of waiting for her and someone will pick her up and carry her around the house. She will only eat out of the palm of our hands and would like us to raise her water bowl up to her mouth. GEEZ! I bet she learned this from the frou frou french poodle she was in recovery with..ha ha.
Anyway, she looks good and we're hopeful that she will have a quick recovery and be back to her old crazy self soon.
Thanks for checking on her. We appreciate it!!

We dropped Lucky off this morning at 7:30 PST. After lots of hugs and kisses and tears from me and the kids we left our little Princess in the very experienced, kind hands of her technician. She knew something was going on as we left her, because she came back for one last touch from her little Mommy, Nicole.
The vet called at 1:45p to let us know that Lucky was doing Great and that she handled the surgery like a champ. (collective sighs of relief!) The xrays did not show any other lumps or anything else to worry about. We were so happy! We went to Target to get her some get well presents and we are just counting the minutes til it's time to go pick her up.
The vet said that hopefully tomorrow she'll be back to her old self, but Lucky is pretty smart and knows how to be a little drama queen to get attention and food...so we'll see.
