Arrival Story:
My male yorkie Buddy had been grieving deeply over the loss of his companion, Brandy (as was I). I had misgivings about acquiring another dog. Buddy was elderly, could he handle a puppy, would he accept her? Was I somehow betraying my beautiful Brandy by another seemingly taking her place? Could I love a new puppy as much as I loved Brandy? Buddy's depression intensified and I decided he had to have a companion. When an ad appeared in our newspaper, I jumped on it. Buddy took to Ginger like a duck takes to water. She really perked him up. Sadly, Buddy developed an inoperable tumor and became frail and ill. Ginger (an extremely rambunctious puppy) was very tender, loving, and careful with him and not a bit jealous when he received extra attention. She was and is a blessing with an adorable underbite.
