Arrival Story:
Again my Husband did the bad thing of going to the Pet Store to just "look around". He does this when I am at work! He looked and he saw this really cool Basset, she was all white except for face and has black spots on her like Snoopy. She has the neatest tail almost all white except for at the base she has a patch of brown and a black circle spot on the side of the brown. LONG ears and the sweetest eyes. He said you have to see her! She is a little girl like you wanted! Much convincing, we already have 2 hounds and and aging and sometimes ailing Yellow Lab. Ok went to see her, yes, she came home with us she was too cute and such a sweet disposition.
She came home and the middle Basset was enamored with her he found a puppy playmate, and they were inseperable. Our Yellow Lab Kelly wasn't too pleased, she had had enough of these short legged dogs in her now 14 yrs and didn't want this upstart bothering her.
Guin and Luke were fast friends, Flash was a little more reserved with the little chick. She just took over, this was now her domain and all must conform. The boys got the growls if they tried to get over on her because of their sheer size, she stood her ground, they would not take her toys or food. But when it came to play she is there with unabandon. Come on boys I'll run the rest of your legs off. I may be small but I am awesome!
She is just a love, Mom puts dresses on Guin and she just preens, loves to be dressed and needs coats and sweaters, because the little thing gets so cold. She just had to have her pink raincoat, if she got wet she would melt! So mom calls her a chick hound because she is a girly girl.
