Arrival Story:
Went out to eat and asked for a doggy bag,The waitress asked what kind of dogs did I have.I told her shih tzu and a golden ret, and black lab mix.She said she wanted a small dog.I told her about Sassys litter of pups, she wanted one.So I called the family and and she got a puppy.She called me the next day and said they loved Lacey so much they wanted a second one.Sassy was all that was left.So I went and picked her up.I called the waitress and told her I had the pup.She said she'd be over after work to pick her up.3 months later she called and asked if she could come get her dog, if it was housebroken...I had to laugh told it was housebroken from day one,Sassy loved her doggy door, taught Jake how to use it.Told her we decided to keep her(after 3 months) as we had fallen in love with her.She got mad at me.

Bio:
Sassy earned her name by arguing,no matter what we say, she growls very low and always gets the last word in. Sassy is a very sweet but domineering girl.She has such a great personality.She is very afraid of people except her immediate family.She can make anyone laugh.When we get depressed about Rosie having cancer,Sassy seems to sense the mood and does something very silly to lift our spirits.She is a character. On Aug.28th Sassy was diagnosed with degenerative valve disease.So we are getting ready for another challnge in our life.She is a wonderful girl. Sassy lost her battle with degenerative valve disease on JUly 7th,2006...It borke my heart to put her to sleep but it had to be done.WE miss her so very much.Jake is mourning the worse.It has been over a montha ndhe still looks for her. Imiss her barking when we come in the door.MOst of all I miss her waking me up in the morning.She was my best freind.Will love her forever!!!!!!!! She was only 8 years old......
