Best Tricks: roll over! , and UN-tying knots, hiding under the bed when it's time for mom to go to work. Barking and scaring Gus so he will drop his bone, then running off with it. Arrival Story: Last year, mommy was attacked and badly bitten by a big dog. She had a very hard time feeling better, and her doctor suggested she get used to being around small dogs at first. She visited pet stores by herself, and just watched the doggies. Then, one Saturday, she asked daddy to go with her. I had just arrived at this place, and didn't like it very much. I only weighed 2 and a half pounds. Dad says he knew when he saw me that I would be going home with them, and I did!
Mommy says I have made her so happy, and Daddy says I am the best dog in the world. I love my new pack so much! Bio: I have two no-fur big brothers, and they live very far away. I love it when they come home to see me, it's like my whole pack is complete. They love me a lot and take very good care of me. They think mommy spoils me a little bit though! Forums Motto: RUN! PLAY! RUN! The Groups I'm In: Darling Dappled Dachshunds I've Been On Dogster Since:
Well, I found these things in our yard, mom calls them 'cicadas'. The thing is, they only come out late at night, so you have to set your 'body alarm' to 1:00 a.m. or so. The last couple of nights, I have been getting up at 1 or so, to get these things OFF OUR HOUSE! I go out, and there they are, feasting on mom's flowers and stuff. Last night, there were 3!, right by the door! I would pick them up, and oh, boy, did they scream! I loved it!
For some reason, mom doesn't understand why I need to go out at 1 a.m. to get them.
She says we (me and Gus) have to sleep in the kennel tonight. I don't know why........
I almost got a little brother. Our mom had a lady call her, who knew we are a dacshund family, and wanted us to take in Louie. He is a black and tan mini. the lady could not take care of him very well, because he is little (3 mo.), and she works a lot. She gave him to my mom (a very difficult and brave thing to do). But then, a week later, this lady came to our door and demanded him back. This was one tough situation :( . Mommy gave him back, because she knew the lady loved him, but it broke mom's heart. Gus and I did our best to cheer her up. She's doing better now. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be, but we would still like a new little sister or brother!
