Arrival Story:
Yoda was a stray near St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. She would "hang out" at a friends house and would do anything for attention. After a year (and two pregnancies), Yoda was pregnant again and all who knew her began to worry about her health and safety. I was convinced to adopt her (on the condition that some friends would help place her next litter of puppies) so she went home with me that evening. Two months later, Yoda delivered nine beautiful little puppies who all found loving homes. After weaning the puppies Yoda was spayed and she has been with me ever since.
Bio:
I didn't have very loving parents prior to moving in with my current family in 1992. I have very bad teeth (my doc thinks I was lucky enough to have survived distemper as a puppy) and I had lots of cooties (fleas, ticks, ear mites) when I was adopted into my new family. On top of that I was pregnant and used to living on what I could beg, steal, or find. I knew my way around cars and other moving vehicles and was smart enough to "dive" out of the way when I heard them coming. While I craved attention and just wanted someone to love me I didn't really trust two-legged animals very much. Since I moved in with my adoptive family I've learned to trust people, not to chew Mom's shoes, to stay out of the trash (it isn't a new deli), and that as long as I'm on my leash walking cars won't hurt me because Mom won't let them get me. I've had a really good life and I'm now learning to deal with some issues associated with "old dog" diseases. I'm learning to live with canine cognitive disorder, canine vestibular disorder, and just plain old age. Don't worry about me though because I'm very well loved and have a great family.

Another woofday gone by. The ones here at the Bridge are so much fun but it still isn't the same as the ones with my mom and my earthly furbings. Mommy's been so sad lately that I'm glad she's had her work to keep her busy. She tries not to let on how much she misses me but I can tell that's why I've been sending her sooo many rainbow hugs and kisses lately. All my friends up here at the Bridge have been helping me and I know its working. Mommy still cries when I get presents from my pals here and she and I want to thank all of you for the cake and all my gifts. I even got a picture to show how much fun I was having so check out my page. Thanks so much to Samantha Angel for the picture.

Thanks to all of you for your rosettes, thoughts, prayers and wishes on the anniversary of my crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Mommy was really down that day and while she didn't get onto dogster she saw the messages in her mail. Mom and the rest of my earthly pack have been swamped since she started her new job. I know that Kea & Darius are loving life in WV. Mom can't seem to find any free time to keep up but she's trying.
As for me, while I miss my pack it's fund to be able to run and play with my pals here at the Bridge. I can even remember everyone now!!! I can also send lots of rainbow hugs and kisses to my pack and help my pals here comfort their loved ones.

Hi Mom,
I know you can hear me and that you miss me as much as I miss you. Don't be so stressed out right now. Everything will be fine. I just seems like you have more to do than you have time. Moving is gonna be stressful but just do what I used to do - little bites and little steps. I'm looking over you and Darius and Kea. You can feel all my rainbow hugs and kisses if you just relax.
