today was a bad day for Ruffy

Ruffy has been with us for nine years on or about, and I have sad news. We noticed a lump on his metatarsal joint. The doctor said to watch it. We did, and we wanted it off. The Vet put him to sleep, but then decided against the surgery. He said its too close to nerves and bones. I said to xray it. He did, and its cancer.

The Advice was taken and brought him in out of the cold.

Ruffy was brought in for the last few days of bitter cold. However he came in kicking and screaming. He just hates being indoors where there is no action I guess.
I made him comfortable. But every time we went near the door he was trying to bolt. I took him on a walk to go to the bathroom, it was -12 thats -12. He was reluctant to return, stopping every few feet.
What is wrong with this dog? All he cares about is the hunt?
I could NOT take walking in this cold. Its wayy too cold.

This was interesting.

My Ruffy, today we had family over and he was miffed that they had a dog. He ignored the dog. When we went inside the house, Ruffy went to get his own friends. He brought them over and put them far from the house. Like they were his own pals and would not allow them near our house. I have run off any dogs that come to visit Ruffy in the past. They are probably not vacinated.

It was interesting that he reasoned that if we had a dog friend come over, then he should get to choose his own pals. Hmmmm.
I could tell he was thinking very hard as he watched this dog run around. Almost sulking. He stared at me for a while, and I knew he was really thinking hard. then he left, and came back with his pals.
