Being awakened. Vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, coffee grinder, can opener and anything else that makes mechanical noise.
Favorite Toy:
Air Dog Donut; human feet
Favorite Food:
Anything! Especially stuff left on the countertops which can be reached by taking a flying leap onto a wheeled chair, gliding across the kitchen. Woofy Pop, doggie popcorn.
Favorite Walk:
Anywhere -- so many interesting smells to explore; so different from her yard with the Invisible Fence.
Best Tricks:
Hunting and catching voles in the garden (chipmunks are too fast and smart). Making me laugh!
Arrival Story:
Have always been partial to terriers. This time wanted a "special" terrier (have owned Schnauzers and mixed breeds previously). Researched terriers online and found an "almost local" breeder who warned that Lakies aren't for the faint hearted. What an understatement! She's a high energy pet, but I can't imagine sharing my life with, let's say, a retriever. It would be so boring.
Bio:
When 7 months old, Katie traveled by air in her Sherpa bag, coach class, to Arizona to meet grandma and grandpa and grandpa's Airedale, Griz, with whom she hit it off famously.
