Birthday: March 20th 1995 Arrival Story: *R. I. P. Ito 20/03/95 - 16/03/07*
My Dog Ito had to be put to sleep today 16/03/07 at 10:20am due to Renal Heart Failure. Ito was cremated on the 20/03/07 on his 12th Birthday. Ito, I miss you and will never forget you and you will always remain in my heart forever my little one, and my pain of your loss is hurting me and I feel it will never go away ***
I wanted to get another dog to keep Rocky company that’s when I got another Pekingese on the 25/05/95, he was nine weeks old when I got him, I had no name for him for two weeks at the time the O. J. Simpson Trial was on the TV, the Judge called Lance Ito is Chinese my Dad said Pekingese are Chinese dogs we will call him Ito, what a great name my Dad had chosen for him. when Ito was a pup he used to roll over on his back he couldn’t get up he was a bit tubby my Mum (Nicknamed him Puddin) every morning Ito used to sit and wait next to me in the kitchen while I did his breakfast which was scrambled egg then for his dinner he would have a tin of pedigree chum puppy food that’s what Judy Ito’s breeder told me to give him. Bio: Ito used to jump on Rocky’s back running around him just being playful but Rocky just didn’t like it, I had to grab Ito of fear that Rocky would turn on him with Ito, it was like looking after a baby. One day my dad said to me if it’s too much for Rocky he will let Ito know, that day did happen Rocky did go for Ito he pinned Ito down. Ito knew not to do it again he learned how far he could go. They were the best friends ever. If Rocky had a chew stick Ito would get jealous Ito would bark at Rocky until he got Rocky’s chew stick off him. One day I threw a ball across the room Ito ran for it and came back with it, I was shocked as I never trained him to play fetch, this small rubber orange baseball was the only toy he would ever play with, he never bothered with any squeaky or cuddly toys just his ball, my dad sitting on his chair used to lean forward passing the ball in and out of his legs he would have Ito running and barking while Ito was trying to get his ball back off my dad. ***
Ito suffered with eye ulcers from being nine weeks old, he had a Heart Murmur diagnosed in November 2002 Graded 2-3, but didn’t need any Medication until 22nd October 2004 when it was up Graded 3-4, Ito cried out one night I thought he had a bed dream, I took Ito to the vet to get him checked out my vet said Ito had passed out due to his Heart problems. Ito was passing out 3–4 times a week the Vet had me Trying all types of medication to find what would be suitable for him which I found very stressing for me as his blood pressure was very low due to Frusemide which takes fluid off the lungs. Ito nearly died three times at Christmas 2004, After Christmas he was passing out about once a month which was an improvement. The Vet recommended to me it’s time for Ito to be put to sleep but I thought the best thing to do was get another opinion and it’s the best thing I have ever done. My new Vet said he is very pleased with him. Ito had improved and was very playful and active he was so much fun. Rocky & Ito together R.I.P. Little Ones.
