Favorite Walk: Our neighborhood where she runs and rolls on her favorite lawns!! Plus the beaches at Santa Cruz and Lake Tahoe

Best Tricks: She does entirely what she wants to do...though she can hold her breath under water and blow bubbles!

Arrival Story: She was left tied up with a filthy dirty rope in SF when she was a baby. I was there visiting a friend and I saw her. There was a heat wave going on and she had no water and was tangled in the rope. She had sores all over her belly, and was dehydrated. In a split second I made the best decision of my life and I took her and drove her home to join our other 3 rescued dogs and 1 cat. The vet said she needed to gain 28 pounds in a couple of weeks or she could die. Needless to say after LOTS of TLC and various medical emergencies (she is now blind in her left eye, and she had her spleen removed in '05), she is now the pillar of perfect health!!! And I am the luckiest mom in the world :)

Bio: She's exquisitley gorgeous and healthy and has the hair of a goddess. People see her hair and want to take her into hair salons so they can get a "Haighti" hair color. I'm not kidding. I'm such a proud mommy! It's also very long...over 6-8" in some places...The best compliment she ever got was when we were visiting her brother and staying at a motel. A fellow traveler, an Englishman saw her walk by and bursted out: " My goodness!! Shes SMASHING!!!" I just love that and think it's perfect for her. She also has a New York sense of humor!!
The thing Mommy and Daddy always say about her is that: She is the healthiest and happiest puppy in the whole wide universe world world!!! It's just something that came out when she was in the hospital for her spleen, and it's been her motto ever since!

Forums Motto: She's a happy, healthy girl!

We Lost Our Baby Girl: On July 29, 2009 our baby girl Haighti lost her fight with her bad back and we had to send her to heaven. I am in terrible grief and can't believe she is gone for good! I miss her so much. It's been alittle over a month. Please pray for her <3>3>
