Rainbow Bridge

My first couple of days here at Rainbow Bridge have been wonderful although I live in the doggie village I have been playing with my 2 kittie brufurs that live here aslso but poor Garfield it was a most sad day when he had to welcome me here himself being on duty that fateful day I have got my sight back my arthuritis seems to have been cured and I feel like the 6 week old puppy that went to live with my mom those 13 years and 9 months ago then I had Smudge and Paws for company the other kitties strolled along at later dates but before me and them Tootsie and Tabby a stry also lived there I never got to meet them I have now here at the bridge not that mom has found her pics of them yet.
Mom is very heartbroken at my sudden departure I might have fooled her with my eyesight but not my poor legs and back but its lovely to be free of pain and no orrible tablets to take any more.
I have been told I must learn to do my duties like everyone else but on times I can be a lazy pooch I love to lie in this forever warm sunshine we get not like back home when it rained most of the time.

Rainbow Bridge

I am writing this at Rainbow Bridge having joined by bruthers Garfield and Smudge mom is in tears at my sad passing in my sleep during the night.
I have had a great life for 13 years and 9 months with them all hoomans as well but sadly I lost my sight 10 days ago and I was to have been taken to the vets for help but I chose otherwise.

Some ramblings

Mom went of to Spain for a week in August leaving all us furs behind to be looked after by that male hooman all that sun and warmth she had while out there while we got that wet miserable stuff, anyway while out there mom celebrated her 65th birthday and the hotel and company she went with gave her a bottle of wine and some chocs no idea where they went no doubt she ATE them all to herself she also went on several trips too The Benidorm Palace to see a show, Guadalest in the Spanish mountains this is know locally as eagles nest because of its wonderful views and a hidden castle within the rocks thats lived in then she also visited Algar Falls where you can bathe in its rock pools which is quite invigarating once you get used to the cold water.
Mom stayed in Benidorm in her usual hotel as this was the 5th time she has been out there, swam in the pool watched all the local stray furs kitties and all where some of the hotel guests used to take some chicken etc after their evening meal to feed them.
Anyway I got my own back on her for leaving me with that malehooman a few nights ago when mom got back from babysitting all day we had a lot of heavy showers so mom decided inbetween these she took me for my daily stroll but it literery poured down so heavy even those she had one of those things she holds aloft tried to get me to shelter as the rain was so heavy and blowing every where I was having none of it I just walked slower and slower and by the time we got home it was not just me that was dripping wet mom as well hehehe it was fun to see her trying to dry me and herself again I had my towel on my back shook it off wetting moms raditor and walls and giving her more showers the same time then went and laid down till my supper was ready I don't think she was too amused at another soaking inside the house, but if you don't take me on holiday thats what you get and yes I had the biggest grin across my chops.

Mom day off

Today mom did not have to get up early to go and babysit her granddaughter as her dad has a few days off work so that's great for mom and she can catch up with her housework phone calls and be here tomorrow for her annual central heating service and of course tesco delivery got to have my food bought for me otherwise I shall go hungary.
Sox the 8 week old kittie is quite at home she now sleeps upstaairs with the rest of us and as mom says another one hugging her bed not leaving much room Sox is only little and hardly takes up the room I would if I got on to mom's bed imagine me and the 4 kitties sleeping on a single bed, maybe mom should spend the night on the carpet instead just like I do.
The last 2 nights because its warm and just as mom shuts her eyes I bark and ask to be let outside for a pitstop, if I do this when I come back inside I normally sleep downstairs by the back door on those lovely cool floor tiles so mom not only gets a better nights sleep she dont hear me snoring or blowing wind!!!

A teenager at last!!!

Today is my 13th birthday I have had a lovely day and I got a raw steak for supper which did not even last 10 seconds I just went chomp chomp with my teeth, I did get a surprise small pawtry just furmily only as mom has been babysitting most of the day and tomorrow night but she ain't too happy about that her daughter and son in law did say they were going out to dinner at 1pm now they have chanced their minds mom is not to happy as she seems never to get much time to herself these days she loves her computer cant use her laptop at their house being on a new estate mom says she must get a dongle then she can use her laptop mean daughter wont let her use their computer just like some ex furiends did.
Tonite I am a happy pooch with a nice full belly so I am going to sleep the rest of the night with that cool kitten sharing me and that male hooman while the other kitties try to turf mom off her bed so they can curl up and be comfy, i too would also go on that bed but my legs are not so nimble these days so I stick to the carpet at the side ready for mom to fall over me when she goes for a pit stop in the middle of the bight, she furgets which side of the bed I lie and often falls over me.

No peace

that kittie sisfur Sox loves to play with my tail and paws i rarely getting any peace to sleep even when I go outside in the warm sun she follows me outside, thats the only time that I do get a little peace as she is busying looking around to see what she can get up to and male hooman left the shed door open ( it used to be a garage years ago but not these days) that in itself warrents a nose from the little madam but she did not follow me inside as its lovely and cool when the sun is too hot thats if male hooman unlocks the door and leaves it open I hate to think when Sox does eventually go into the shed what she will find to get up to all the paint etc is out of harms way in a cupboard along with male hoomans car stuff, there are 2 bumpers and a car door in there too but I dont go near those I just sleep on the carpet that covers part of the floor a proper little home from home for us all the bigger kitties often go in there as there is a catflap on its door for Beauty the stray cat that lives with us and has done for the last 6 years in the summer she stays outside and sleeps in the shed at the moment she is a little put out by the newest member of us furmily wait till our country cousins meet Sox when they come to stay wonder how those two kitties will take to her?

That Sox

Since last saturday tea time I have had my life somewhat changed with the newest arrival to the kittie furmily she duly hissed and spat at me I know I got excited and would not leave her alone at all in the beginning by nudging and barking everytime she moved but yesterday that all changed I let her play with my tail and paws even if she did bite them, she then climbed all over me and in the end curled up and went to sleep.
Today she has done the same but I must remember when she is sleeping not to roll over, and Sox has been playing with some of her toys tossing them over me rolling the ball under me when I am having a snooze but I just leave her too it as she is little compared to me.
I hate having to leave her behind when I go for my daily long walk maybe I should ask mom to put a leash and bring her with us then maybe I will get home somewhat quicker than normal I have been such a slowcoach the last few days mostly in annoyance at having to leave Sox behind, got to blame mom for that not fair as all the other kittie siblings are allowed to be with her at that time why not me!!!

Poor mom

My poor mom has a very sore heel on her right foot she has a blister that has burst when her trainer rub her this morning she has done so much walking the last few days looking after young Brooke as her mum has returned to work so mom walks between both house several times a day and goes up town, as she says by coming home with Brooke in the morning after she has fed her she can do her own daily chores have her dinner and feed Brooke (baby) look after our new kittie Sox for a few hours, then take her back home, there are no buses between the homes just foothpaths and roads that are not main ones just local streets around where we live its quite an easy walk takes 15 mins and is all flat no hills atc and the weather so far this week has remained dry.
Well Sox that young kittie took advantage of me tonight when I was sleeping downstairs and meowmy watching television she jumped all over my body bit my ears played with my tail and paws and pulled a few mouthfuls of my fur out mom was on hand to take it out of her mouth, peace at last she has gone to bed for the night locked in a room downstairs and after her and Garfield have been on this computer its my turn be it late at night so I am off to join the other 3 kitties in bed.

Must be.........

Well I must be getting soft in my old age I did something today that I have never ever done before I allowed the new kittie to eat my breakfast which he should not have could not wait for hers I just stood there and watched none of the other kitties in this house has ever had that priviledge I normally growl if anyone comes near my food, I guard this new kittie Sox so well I wont leave her side for long and when I went for my daily walk I crawelled in digust for having to go out and leave Sox alone with those other kitties anyway she is so full of life now she has found he paws been quiet the first 2 days but today has been totally different I LOVE HER so much I feel younger and lively again.

Kitties first full day

Well it is Sox's first full day living with us and I have been a bit overpowering towards her I know she is only 6 weeks old and tiny compared to me but I have been watching her so closely that mom as been calling me a nanny and when she was playing I tried to play with her as well but I push her a bit harder than I should not realising my nose is a lot bigger than hers Sox hissed and spat and arched her back at me I just want to play but I must learn for her to get used to me and the other kitties Sox has now gone to bed in her new cat basket with a hood so she can hide from us all as she did when male hooman game in 10 mins ago and could not find her in her bed she had in fact climbed up on to the chair that goes under the table male hooman only found her after moving the fridge freezer because he thought she had craweled behind it and got stuck.
