I'm a Big Boy Now!

Well, it was my pawday just a few days ago. You'll see my new picture with my new ball! It's very cool. It's soft & plushy, which is my bestest favorite kind of toy, & it SQUEAKS!!!!! It's got all sorts of pretty colors, & it's knobbly all over. I figured out how to squeak my toys all by myself! It's SO much fun! I run all over the house squeaking my toys, & everyone just laughs because they can see what a happy boy I am.

Mom & my boy Paul, who's pawday is the day after mine took me to the store to pick my own present out. I got to wear my fancy collar & leash with all my jingly tags. I have my shot tag that tells the doctor when I need a new one, I have my microchip tag that tells everyone I have a microchip in case I ever get lost, & I have a very bling shiny silver bone with my name, where I live, & Mom's phone number so if I ever get lost, I can go back home. I got to go all around the store, & I picked my ball out myself. Paul wanted me to get a furry squirrel that squeaked but wow, those things gave me the willies. I mean, they REALLY look like a squirrel!

I stand 16 1/2 inches tall at my shoulder blades, & I weigh 29 pounds. Mom says my coat has really come in & I'm VERY handsome now that I'm a big boy. I still haven't been to any shows yet, but Mom's been busy with other stuff, so it's ok.

When I came home

When I first met my new Mom, Lisa it was a bit scary. I'd had a LONG road trip, & was away from my Mom, Nadia, & her person Theresa. I was staying at Aunt Demi's till she could come get me. I made friends with Aunt Demi's dogs, Chandler & Hermi, 2 mini Dachsund boys, & Pita(like the bread), & Emma, 2 Cavalier ladies. Pita & I were best buddies. Boy she was cute!

Then Mommy & I had to go on another trip. We went on this big noisy thing that kind of looked like a very large bird, but it wouldn't fly away when I barked at it. What a long day! One man at the airport thought I was a baby wolf, but I'm not!

It was dark when we finally got home to Florida, & I met the rest of my new family! I have kids of my very own! I don't have any other dog friends yet, but I have plenty of cat brothers & sisters. Some of them are rescues & are living here with us till they find their very own families. I've learned how to open doors with my paws, walk nicely on a leash, realized the car doesn't always take me someplace scary, most of the time it's fun! I have lots of toys, have 2 dog friends that live down the street that I get to go play with sometimes, & sometimes they come visit me too!

They tell me I'm going to be a show dog, whatever that is, but if it means I get to go places, look pretty, & get treats, hey, I'll give it my best!
