Arrival Story:
Picked him up at age 11 -, an owner surrendered at a shelter. Filthy and smelly, timid and unhappy. After a long bath and cuddle-dry - a different dog. So very happy and brave.
We brought him to his new home, but he stayed only one day - he couldn't climb steps. He had been a city dog and apparently only could climb a curb. So back he came. And then he worked his charm on my Dad, who said lets keep him for a while.
Four years later............. Prince Rules!
Bio:
He is a character - a clown. He talks to you and directs you to where he wants you to help him or what he wants you to do.
He is also, old and grouchy at night. When I pick him up from the bed for that last time out. He shows his "teeth" and growls, well he thinks he has teeth...he shows his gums. But that only last a few seconds. That's why we call him Prince of Darkness.
With a heavy heart, our Little Prince went to Rainbow Bridge today, after a last day filled with sunshine on his failing body, a tummy filled with Frosty Paws and a final walk (well, a carry) around his block.
