Very first entry

Well, a lot has happened since I was adopted. First off, my humans got a new house (an old one but new to them) and it needed painted. I tend to lay against the fresh painted walls and don't understand why mom laughs then gives me a bath and brushes me...I guess I'm not supossed to be a white dog. Mom took me to get groomed for the first time in May. I did really well even though I was scared. I must admit, though, I looked beautiful once it was done.
Mom took me places to show me off after that. I also went to the vet for some shots and a check up. I guess I'm older than the Humane Society guessed but my vet said she couldn't be sure about my real age because my canine incisors have been ground down to the length of my other teeth. She said I've had a very questionable past and have been beat up quite a few times by other dogs. The vet could tell this by my scars, teeth, and white freckles on my face I guess. I'm glad she told my mom because I can't. I wish I could tell my mom what all has happened, but she tells me she doesn't want to know because it will probably make her cry. I also gained weight and am on a diet. I've lost 2 pounds already with at least 4-5 to go. I've been playing a lot (I love running through and sitting in the sprinklers) and getting healthier.
Anyway, I'm just glad I'm in a good home now with lots of attention and toys. Dad brought me home an entire garbage bag full of new toys! I haven't played with them all yet, but I want to. My humans won't let me drag all of them out at once for some reason.
