Arrival Story: After hearing about 200+ dogs that were rescued by the Humane Society, we felt obligated to help. 12 of the 200+ dogs came to a shelter in Gillette and were in need of permanent homes or foster homes. All these dogs had been living on 1/2 an acre of land and were being neglected. The first time I saw Zipper (his kennel name), I told him I loved him. The very next day, Dan and I went to see him and ended up taking him home. He's an amazing dog who is protective of me and caring. He has had a very questionable past and we are learning more about him each day.
Bio: I loved playing with my best friend, Snowy, who now lives in Seattle. I miss her but I know I'll see her again. My humans brought me a new dog to play with in May 2008. We have a lot of fun together, even if we are polar opposites. Pez likes to make noise, pretty much to hear herself talk...I'm quiet. She likes to wrestle, my favorite game is chase. She destroys all stuffed animals, I'll keep them in good shape forever. She hates the cold weather and loves the summer, I love rolling in the snow and am not a fan of the heat. Anyway, we get along great and I'm glad my parents brought her home. I like to help my humans paint but I usually end up sitting on the walls and getting covered in paint.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Well, a lot has happened since I was adopted. First off, my humans got a new house (an old one but new to them) and it needed painted. I tend to lay against the fresh painted walls and don't understand why mom laughs then gives me a bath and brushes me...I guess I'm not supossed to be a white dog. Mom took me to get groomed for the first time in May. I did really well even though I was scared. I must admit, though, I looked beautiful once it was done.
Mom took me places to show me off after that. I also went to the vet for some shots and a check up. I guess I'm older than the Humane Society guessed but my vet said she couldn't be sure about my real age because my canine incisors have been ground down to the length of my other teeth. She said I've had a very questionable past and have been beat up quite a few times by other dogs. The vet could tell this by my scars, teeth, and white freckles on my face I guess. I'm glad she told my mom because I can't. I wish I could tell my mom what all has happened, but she tells me she doesn't want to know because it will probably make her cry. I also gained weight and am on a diet. I've lost 2 pounds already with at least 4-5 to go. I've been playing a lot (I love running through and sitting in the sprinklers) and getting healthier.
Anyway, I'm just glad I'm in a good home now with lots of attention and toys. Dad brought me home an entire garbage bag full of new toys! I haven't played with them all yet, but I want to. My humans won't let me drag all of them out at once for some reason.
Well, I guess I should get to playing. Hope everyone else is well.
