Birthday: January 15th 1998 Likes: Food and belly rubs. Lots of attention Pet-Peeves: Chester Favorite Toy: squeaky toys! Loofa Dogs Favorite Food: All food! Homemade dog biscuits, frosty paws, & jerky. I eat Newman's Own Organic senior with yogurt in the morning and cottage cheese in the evening. I also get daily supplements for my joints. Favorite Walk: Walking is too difficult for me now. I can get around, but I'm not able to go any real distance. Best Tricks: Sit, down, stay, come. Has his CGC and was TDI certified for several years. Arrival Story: We went into Petco in the summer of 1998 while they were holding an adoption event. We noticed an adolescent Rottie pup and took him out to visit. He was such a sweetheart and a laid back guy so we adopted him! Bio: Bruno is a great boy! He did therapy work for a while, but has long since retired. Bruno has a degenerative nerve condition that is causing him to lose the functions of his rear end. We pray he'll stay healthy for a little longer. So far we've been very happy with how he's been doing. We hope you'll consider a rescued dog or cat and please spay or neuter in order to keep down the number of unwanted pets each year. We helped Bruno cross over the Rainbow Bridge on 2/09/08. It was by far one of the hardest decision we have ever had to make in our lives. Forums Motto: Big Dog, Bigger Heart! 5 years ago we had to say our final goodbye and it was a heartbreaking time for everyone. You were a very special boy and you touched the hearts of so many in your lifetime.
Bruno, you are missed today on your crossover day but you are also missed every day. Your motto - Big dog, bigger heart is so true. You loved and were loved.
This time of year is always bittersweet. American Idol will be starting and I would be celebrating my birthday. Mom remembers all the wonderful memories we shared and it is wonderful to see I am still remembered and thought of still today. The memories and cherished moments are what keep me alive.
In the Candle's Glow
Laura Hickman
Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.
All is well up on the ridge,
The place we know as Rainbow Bridge.
Furbabies sleeping in heaven's light,
Tended by candles in the night.
Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep,
As they slumber in this night so deep.
Hearts on earth that miss them so,
Take comfort in the candle's glow.
Watching for them in skies above,
Bound eternally by a cord of love.
Thank you for the paw mails and gifts on my Rainbow Bridge Day.
I remember that day back in 1998 when I was adopted and how wonderful it was to know that I would be loved for the rest of my life. That wonderful and warm feeling remains here at the bridge. I still know that I was loved and am still loved even though 4 years have passed since I spent time with my family physically.
