Wow - Time sure flies when your a dog !

I am ONE year old today and my family is going to have a birthday party for me tonight ! Doggy Cake, Presents and a Special Trip to the Doggy Park! I can't wait to see what new treats or toys I get ! WOW am I getting big too! I am now 145 lbs !

Going to the Vet !

Today is the day......Mom says I have to spend the day at the vet today. (She says that I am getting fixed....but I keep telling her that I am not broken) She told me not to worry though... she says that I will get to sleep all day, and that when I wake up, she will come and pick me up. That's OK. I like the women at the vet. They love it when I come in to see them. Anyways.....wish be luck on the "Getting Fixed" thing... !

WOW - What alot of FUN !!!

Saturday, Feb 24th, 2007 was a WHOLE day planned for just ME. Mom & Dad and their kids spent the whole day with just ME. First, they gave me extra loving and care in a nice warm bath! (I love my bath... I actually get into the tub on a regular basis and bark at them, wanting them to bath me)

After I was completely dry, we all loaded up in the SUV and headed to the Pet Store, where I was allowed to pick out FOUR new toys and some treats too!

Then, off we went to a place that I had never been before.... a fully fenced in HUGE park where dogs are allowed to run WITHOUT their leashes on !!!

Can you imagine ?? I was the first one there.... but..... all of a sudden....15 more Great Danes showed up and we were all allowed to RUN FREE with each other! I was one of the smallest ones there because I am still only 6 months old, but some of the others there were HUGE... Is that really how big I am going to get? Oh Dear!

Anyway, we spent about 2 hours there.... running, playing, chasing, barking...pretty much anything that we wanted to do. AND.... I now have a girlfriend! There was this pretty little merle female there named Katie that looked almost exactly like ME ! We played with a stick for awhile, I chased her and then she chased me....It Was Heaven !!!

I am so glad I had a bath before we went.... I think Katie really liked me !

I also heard mom saying that we are going back there in April for another play day..... I hope I get bigger before then....I want to show Katie how handsome I am becoming! I CAN'T WAIT TIL APRIL !!!!!

I'm such a SPOILED boy !!

My mom now lets me get up on the kids beds! WOW this is soooo cool!
She was scared at first because she thought I might step on them.....(silly mom) but I am VERY careful and I just love to snuggle up to them.

I Found a Home!

On December 20th, 2006, my old mom took me for a drive with my big sister to a house where I had never been before. When we got there....there were kids! (I love kids) They had two kids and both were girls! (I Love girls)

They were all over me! They had their two big people with them too, so I checked them out alot. They gave me cookies and kisses and I was really excited.

Then the two big people asked the kids if they wanted me to go HOME WITH THEM!!!! The kids started screaming and then they ran over to me again and hugged and hugged and hugged me. (I love kids)

Then next thing I knew, the new mom gave money to my old mom and then we left my old mom and my big sister at that house. We drove away and I missed my big sister and my old mom already!

It was a long drive home, but they had a huge blanket and a chewy bone in the back of the big SUV for me. I kept putting my head over the seat to see the kids and everytime I did....they gave me kisses and petted me...( I love kids) I was a good boy. I NEVER tried to jump out of the rear and into the back seat. I knew that I wasn't allowed up there where they sat when we were driving.

They all talked on the way home... trying to give me a new name. They talked alot about "Molson", "Alcon", "Quintis" and "Maximus". But... by the time we got to my new home, they all called me MAXIMUS !!

It was pretty dark out by the time we got to my new home. I was all ready to play with those kids when my new dad told them that they had to go up to bed. That's OK though, I was pretty tired and I was wondering what my new crate would look like.

Well, you're not going to believe this!! After my new mom and dad put those kids to bed.....they took me outside for a short walk, then they took me up to my BED. YES.....I said BED!! I get my own twin sized real bed in the big room upstairs! My new mom and dad have their own REALLY big bed, but in the corner of their room is another twin size bed that is all mine! Can you believe this? No more crate! These people are nuts !! (I love these new people)

So.... I jumped up on MY bed and snuggled down. My new mom came and laid beside me for awhile. (I was only 4 months, so there was still some room left on the bed for her) She patted my head and rubbed my ears until I fell asleep. (I love my new Mom)

I staying in my new bed ALL NIGHT and didn't wake up until almost 6:00 am! I guess I was pretty tired. But now.....I was excited about what this new place was all about !
