Arrival Story: We got her from her foster mom at Almost Home Dachshund Rescue. Bio: From her Petfinder.com bio: Daisy got off to a rough start. She ended up in a shelter when she was very young and was adopted out to a family. They returned her to the shelter some time later with a right rear leg that was not working at all. A veterinary exam revealed that, at some point, Daisy's leg had been broken and she had not received any medical care, so it had healed improperly. We thought we would have to have the leg amputated, but a great surgeon was confident that he could restore the leg to full use--and he did! Her leg is now completely healed.
