Changes are a coming

To all my fellow pals, you have been there for my health issues. up down up down. You know how it goes for an old Saint. Well age is not kind on an old man. I now am leaking urine all the time. I cant get up without peeing on the floor. This is really embarrassing, i have been house broke for years. I feel like I am going backwards. My joints hurt. It is geting real hard for me to get up (harder then before). I have been extra brabby. i have even been growling at Abe(dumb on my part, he is WAY bigger than me). I have a lump on my side, now i have had iot awhile but it has been the same size for years. (i have already survived testicular cancer) but it has been really tender lately and we think it is getting bigger. Mom and dad know if the cancer comes back, I wont survive the treatment. i cant even survive the anesthia for a dental.!!!! mom has promised me i will not be allowed to suffer. thats nice of them since i have suffered enough. this is my last summer here and I am thinking about REALLY living it up these next couple months!!!! Me and mom are making
THE Bucket List! Things to do before i kick the bucket(go ahead and laugh but its going to be fun, Moms going to help me).

1. hit EVERY drive thru in the town(cheeseburgers)
2. eat till i am full (hasnt happened yet)
3. chase (or at least BARK at) the mean neighbor lady that caught our Ruby kitty in a trap and turned her into the pound when she KNEW she was ours!!!!GRRRR
4. go to the high school football field and run run run(might have to rest in between runs)
5. be at the corner when the icecream truck comes by and get my own icecream(or 2).
6. Go to the Puppy Paddle at the pool. Once a year the public pool lets you bring your dog and we get to hang out in the pool! I have little plastic blue pool.
7. Ride in a convertible with the wind in my hair!
8. Get a FULL doggie massage!
9. Get in my Grandmas fish pond just to try and catch one of them BIG fish (I will have to be quick she gets mad and she seems to have a fly swatter everywhere).
10. Eat a WHOLE box of DOUBLE DECKER Moonpies!!!! By myself!!!!

So me and mom are pretty excited. well I am, she isnt but she is being a trooper. So dont be sad. I am not alone like some poor pups. I have been pretty spoiled and loved. Mom and Dad took a chance on a mature BIG male instead of pup and I hope I have shown them I love them cause they sure have shown me they love me. My life has been pretty good. There is NO substitute for LOVE. Its what life is ALL about right. Thats what Jesus said. Root me on and if there is anything you think a old STUD MUFFIN like me should do before I go let me know. I know Gracie is waiting for me up at Rainbow Bridge. I am sure she has found ALL the good nap spots and the stashes of cookies. Although we all know its coming, She is going to have to wait just a little longer because this Sugar Lips has a few more things to do before I go.

I DONT UNDERSTAND!!!!

My fur friends. Please help me understand something. If any of you know me, you will agree I am as sweet and gentle as they come. I heard my furless sister telling my mom that the lady that lives 3 houses up is scared of me. She told Megan she doesnt like me. Now THAT hurt my feelings. I have ALWAYS been nice to her when we have been on our walks, even when her little Yorkie ran up to me and growled at me (it scared me, I backed away because she was going to bite me and I peed on myself a little). I have NEVER bitten anyone. I have never chased anyone. I am SOOOO happy to see everybody. My mom tried to tell her how gentle and sweet I was but she still doesnt like me. It makes me sad because I LOVE EVERYONE. Mom told me its just because I am BIG but thats no reason to not love me. I am very lovable.

New medicine

Well mom and dad brought home a new medicine for me. Butch(our vet) says it will help with my arthritis. It has been a few days now and I do feel better. I like it when Megan gives me my pills because she hides them in a spoon of peanut butter. She thinks I dont know what she is doing but I do. I dont mind because I really like peanut butter.

If you have not read about my brothers latest episode of goofiness then please, stop reading this and go to his diary entry"the day Abe met the neighbors", if you have already read it then you must agree with me that he has got to be the biggest goof ball that has ever walked. There is no way I would ever do that. Well, we will see how daring he is once he comes back from the vet. Mom said he is getting neutered. That will slow him down!!!

New brother

I am not out numbered in the house anymore. Bella and Grace watch out. I have a brother now. We both like to sleep and he came with MOONPIES.

There needs to be a LAW!!!!!!!!!

There are not too many things I have to complain about. I am very laid back and dont let too much bother me. HOWEVER, let me start from the beginning so you all can understand how bad this really is. MY MOM, bless her heart is a nurse. Now I would trust her to save someones life BUT I DO NOT TRUST HER WITH CLIPPERS!!!!!!!! My MOM, needs to be told or yelled at or arrested or something!!!!! It all started Thursday night when dad went into work and they always work on the same nights but it was an extra shift for dad and they didnt need mom that night so she got to stay home with us. AT FIRST I was excited. She put on some music and was cleaning the house . Then she gave Bella a bath and it was kind of funny but she really needed one because she was stinky and when that was done I thought me or Grace were next but it was worse than that. All of a sudden she lost her pretty little mind because she pulled out clippers and started to give me a hair cut , she started cutting the hair off my head and left ear. HELLO!!! MY mom is not a groomer. We have a groomer, her name is Jodie and I really miss her right now because mom does not have those super doggie clippers like Jodie has. NO, she has these little cheapy clippers that STOPPED working half way through my head. I now am walking around with half of my head shaved. ( YOU ARE LAUGHING AREN'T YOU) I look like a punk rocker or something. YES, one ear is shaved and the other isnt!!!!! You have no idea how bad I look. I have no idea when Jodie can squeeze me in to fix this either. How am I going to go outside to use the bathroom or take my daily walk around the neighborhood this weekend looking like this? Now normally when dad leaves mom will dress us up and take pictures to put on Dogster and dad tells her to stop dressing us up like kids but this time she broke some kind of law or something I am sure. Dont you have to have a license to practice dog grooming or something? Can someone have my mom arrested for making me look like this or at least take away her clippers or her cell phone as punishment. When the kids are in trouble and do something bad they get their cell phones taken away. I do believe mom should lose her cell phone for a very LOOOOOOONNNNGGGGGG time. Does anyone else have a crazy mom? Does anyone have a hat I can borrow?

BAD DAY

Let me tell you all what happens when the Cardinals lose on Sat night and the Rams lose on Sunday. MOM goes crazy and we get the brunt of her craziness. She was soooo frazzled she brushed us, cleaned our ears then trimmed our nails!!! Now I dont know how their season is going so far but they best pick it up before we have no nails left, no hair left and our ears are clean enough to eat off of. If the Rams need some encouragment, I can send Grace to chase them at practice. That will get them moving. Needless to say we are all clean and so is the house. The poor thing, what are we going to do with her.

Let me tell you all not to fall for this as I did. Mom thought she was slick but it wont happen again. Bananas are YUCK!!!! Thought she would be clever and hide medicine in a banana. Says its not bad for me. Well I dont think its good for me either!!!! Ive never heard of Iams marketing their banana dog food. I rejected it IMMEDIATELY!!! It was not going in MY mouth. I dont care if mom says its good for me or not. I say moon pies are good for me. Grace actually let hers get in her mouth and she spit it right on the floor. BUT silly Bella thinks they are awesome. She grabbed up the peice Grace spit out plus ate her s. She says they are the best snack. Well Bella I will trade you all my banana snacks for all your moon pies.
