Arrival Story:
Ben had abit of a bad start in life, he was offered to me after being found by someone I know in a shed on an abandoned travellers site, how long he'd been there is anyones guess, but it was long enough for him to have been so hungry he ate some of the carpet in the shed which the vet managed to remove later, he was only about 4 or 5 weeks old by the vets reckoning, and was in abit of a state to be honest, very weak, worm infested, pop bellied and barely able to stand, and it was debatable weather he would survive, but after staying in the vets for 2 nights they managed to get him back on his feet and we done the rest, plenty of TLC and good food was needed, it took a couple of months for him to be at full strength, but once he felt better there was no looking back, He was a bit of a "Bad Boy" during his puppy period up until he was about 2 then he settled down.

Completely destroyed a "Sofabed" when he was about 10 months old, stripped it clean of material and padding, all that was left was the wooden frame and the springs!!!......................Chewed all the handles off the kitchen cabinates he could reach......................Pulled Mummy's beloved indoor "Weeping Fig Tree" over, then dragged it all over the house, there was dirt everwhere!!!.

A little poem I love, dedicated to Ben

When I'm gone from your side,
And all your tears have been dried ...
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow;
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.

And when you stroll in the evening hours,
And smell the aroma of beautiful flowers;
There'll be no need to sob and cry ...
I am not there, I did not die!

"Feeling BLUE"

Lost...

My Angel...
Where are you?
I'm lost, confused, alone...
I cannot see you...
There is darkness around me;
The fire has died, my light blown away
By an unwanted breeze...
I am wandering, going around and around
in circles...
Is there no end to this loneliness?

My Angel...
Where are you?
My heart is sad, it cannot hear your songs.
All I hear is the echo of your love,
Its melody fading...
Fading...
Fading...

Now there is only silence, maddening silence.
It is suffocating, draining my heart of your songs...
Is there no escape from this madness?

My Angel...
Where are you?
I am cold...
I cannot feel your wings around me,
Cannot feel your loving arms to embrace me...
There is only emptiness...
Emptiness that pulls, and pushes, and shoves...
The emptiness is within me, devouring me whole,
Leaving nothing left but an empty soul...
Where are you, my Angel? Come to me, fill me up with your love... Make me
whole again...
Do not leave me in this pit of despair...

My Angel...
Where are you?
I cannot see you, hear you, feel you...
Have you gone away from me? have you taken away my heart...

... My Angel,

... where are you?
