Arrival Story:
My wife and I went to the Humane Society after Hurricane Katrina hit, and I came back from Iraq. We looked around for about three minutes and saw Jack. He was three months old, it was Friday. We picked him out and said we MUST have him. It was his first day in the pound. He was a surrender from that morning. So the next Monday we went back to the pound and after he was neutered we brought him home. He has been with us from then.
Bio:
Right after we brought him home we found out, from many trips to the vet, that he had worms, and an upper respiratory infection. The vet, who we no longer go to, said that it would clear up in the next two weeks with meds. In about three weeks Jack and I where outside playing and he started to breath heavy. Well I am a big baby anyway. It was a Friday and about 6:00 p.m. so I had to take him to the E.R vet. The E.R. vet lays into me for hitting him on his left side. So, needless to say I was hot. Well come to find out after I told her he just had an upper respiratory infection that he now had pneumonia, after some blood work. The E.R. vet told us to go to a new vet. Now Jack is good to go.
