Arrival Story:
It had been about 5 years since I lost my Rocky and I desperately wanted another dog ! I went to The Animal Rescue Unit here and fell in love with this little one -eyed, very thin white dog. He had been badly abused by his previous owner who had knocked his little eye completely out with a belt buckle. His fur was matted and he was so thin, however I saw an AMAZING SPARKLE in his little one eye! I named him Job which is pronounced Jobe. He is named after Job in the Bible because he had such bad things happen to him (just like Job in the Bible ) during his first year of life, yet he kept his sweet and loving spirit!

They guessed his age at 1-2 years, however my VET said he was only 9-10 months, at the time. The Rescue Unit said that they did not think he was full Bichon Frise. They guessed Bichon Frise-Minature Italian Greyhound Mix because he has such long legs. I seem to want to believe he is full Bichon Frise. I wish you could have met his cousin Bullzy! He belonged to my brother and was 18 years old when he went to live in Puppy Dog Heaven. He was a SUPER INTELLIGENT dog! We dearly loved him and will miss him forever.

Today is a very sad day for our family because Bullzy is no longer with us. He went to puppy dog Heaven a few hours ago. He was a great companion and member of our family. We'll always remember The Bullz, as a very intelligent, happy and very loving little dog. He held a very special place in our family because he was so special. We'll miss you Bullzy and we will always love you. We will see you again someday and until then, good-bye our sweet boy.

I got my stitches taken out today and my Vet said that I am doing great! He says that I can do normal stuff again, like run, play and jump, yeah wuf wuf! I am going to see my girlfriend Abby, next week. Her Mom is going out of town so me and my Mom are taking care of Abby Girl for about 2 weeks! I am very excited! Me and my Mom walked around the block today by the lake, my favorite place! Thank you all for the puppy dog prayers. I love you all!

Almost Back To Normal

I am feeling better and better every day. I want to run and play but my Mom says not until 2 more days, when I get my stitches out. They are starting to itch and I want to scratch them sooo bad! My Mom said this was not minor surgery, that I was too sick. My Vet said that most of the dogs do just fine and every now and then there is a doggie like me that was in so much pain that they had to give me pain meds. My Moms friend had a little girl doggie that died last week from hernia surgery. Of course, she was a lot older than me. My Mom was sooo scared for me. Now the dog food recall! I have been eating Mighty Dog in the pouch, a recalled food, every since my Mom adopted me. The Bullz eats it too and his Dad went to and checked it out. I believe the recall numbers were between 6337-7098, and me and Bullzy's food has 6298 on it. I just hope that the food we've been eating all had the lower numbers on it! My Mom is praying and watching every move I make. When I get my stitches out my Mom is going to talk to the Vet about it.
