Arrival Story: Peanut was bought from a breeder in Slippery Rock, Pa. He was the only living puppy from the litter. He was our first dog as a married couple.

Bio: Peanut was a mini dachshund. He got quite heavy in his old age. He looked like a little football. He lived to the age of 12. He died from heart failure. Peanut was jealous when the children were born and used to hide under a chair. I remember him breaking a nice candy dish that I got for a wedding present. He was after a piece of gum. Peanut loved my dad, Pap Bob. When he would come to visit, he would go crazy. Pap fussed over him. If you would say to him, "Do you have your suitcase packed?", or "lets go fishin", he would cry and go wild. He loved to visit Pap Bob, too. We decided to give Peanut to pap and grandma when he got older as he did not like the children. He lived with them in his retirement years. Pap Bob always took him along went he went fishing. They spoiled him rotten too.

Forums Motto: Do you have your suitcase packed?

They say memories are golden
Well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
And heartache made a lane.
I'd walk a path to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
