Bio:
Heidi passed away when she was 12 from kidney disease. She had cataracts in her old age. I think she got around well. She lived to eat. She could always be found in the kitchen at dinner time when I was cooking. Heidi was always looking for a handout. She was a food thief and took food off our other dog. Heidi enjoyed sleeping in bed with her owners and was warm, like a hot water bottle. She grew up with my children when they were little. Heidi had a litter of 4 pups. We sold all of them to good homes. We then had her spayed. I remember giving birth to my last child one week after Heidi gave birth. She was a good little swimmer and liked to lay in the sun.I remember one day Heidi chased a dumb groundhog around our barn. Instead of running in the woods, the groundhog kept running circles around the barn. Finally, it got away. Also, Heidi chased a rabbit in a hole. Heidi got in the rabbit hole. I could hear her under the ground! I had to pull her out by her tail!

They say memories are golden
Well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
And heartache made a lane.
I'd walk a path to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
