Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog-dog rescue

Likes:
Being rescued! Also: attention, food, dog beds, naps, her brothers. Car rides. Walks.

Pet-Peeves:
Being wrapped in metal coathangers. Having to go outside when it's raining, dark or cold.

Favorite Toy:
Anything she can steal from Chester or Mac- especially nylabones!

Favorite Food:
Anything! She gets Eagle Pack Natural Formula dry food and a little Natural Balance canned food. Also occasional vanilla ice cream and healthy dog biscuits.

Favorite Walk:
Now that she's healthy, she loves to go for hikes in her new home (WY).

Best Tricks:
I asked her to sit once before she ate. Now when she sees me with her food bowl, her butt hits the floor instantly.

Arrival Story:
She's the last high positive HW dog we got tested in SC. She's a shelter favorite, but there's been no rescue interest in her at all. I can't stand to think of her there, her heart choked with worms, when she could be here & be treated. Here's what Jen writes about her: "This is our dear sweet Minnie. The other pic attached shows how emaciated she was when she first arrived at the shelter - but look how good she looks now! When Animal Control found her she was wrapped in metal coathangers!!! Fortunately they were not very tight so did not cause physical injury. She is a big love and wigglebutt and would love to be rescued! Minnie is very heavy heartworm positive. :( She's sooooo sweet - we think she's actually a Mountain Cur (not a plott hound as originally thought). I know she gets along with other dogs. Do you remember me posting about her when she first came into the shelter? I think it was right before Christmas...She was SOOO skinny but has definitely filled out and put on weight. When I first saw her at the shelter I tried so hard not to cry - I was trying to take her picture and she kept wiggling her little butt at me! LOL" Jen can get her here on a transport next Sat, 2/10. She'll need to be kept quiet for about 2 months- no dog park, day care or wrestling. Short walks are OK. If she fits in well with Mac & Chester, I plan to keep her permanently. If not, I'll get her healthy & find her an adopter. It's not so much that I want another dog right now, post-Honey, but I know we can handle 3 & she is going to die if she doesn't get HW treatment. Jen says she's not scared of people, despite what's she's been through.

Bio:
If you can help my buddies back in Mullins, please contact jennaluv2@yahoo.com. They need money to heartworm test their dogs, treat the ones who test positive and give HW prevention to those who are negative. And they need rescues and homes, of course...

They couldn't leave my belly!

My belly-rubbing staff that moved out missed my belly so much that theyr'e moving back in!

I told you my belly was awesome.

There's a guy living here, too. He hasn't rubbed my belly yet- it's only a matter of time.

No one can resist the power of my belly.

Finally!

Today Mom was sitting on the couch and I gently placed my paws beside her, waiting for her reaction... She invited me up!!!

I think the fact that so many Dogstrs are allowed on their couches, and this couch is second-hand and Dad's not home were all factors- whatever.

I sat on the couch WITH Mom and got a belly rub!

Ms. Minnie, who knows what heaven is now
