Arrival Story:
My husband and I started talking about getting a dog as soonas we moved into our first house. He spent some time reading dog books and researching breeds, and finally decided he wanted a Shiba Inu. He found a breeder about 2 hours from us, so we drove out to "look", while I had the flu. As soon as I walked into the breeder's house, and saw this little guy, I was hooked...but I didn't want to be obvious about it. Needless to say, we came home with our little monkey that very night (and I felt alot better, too!).

Bio:
Niko was the last of his litter to be 'adopted', and I feel very lucky to have found the breeder before someone else fell in love with him! His brothers and sisters were adopted quickly, and one even flew off to Canada to his new home. Niko spent his first day in his new home alone with Mommy, and she snuggled him while he slept. To introduce him to his grandparents, we put him in the backyard and closed the drapes on the patio door. We then told grandpa that we had something we needed him to look at something in the yard-thinking he was going to have to fix something, he was surprised to see Neekers staring at him from the yard.
