Arrival Story:
We took Hank and his brother home from a place in the country -- there was a sign on the side of the road that said "cowdogs". There happen to be a burn ban at the time so there was trash everywhere -- and dogs of all sizes and mixes, too. Just before getting ready to leave, Hank tentatively came out from under a trailer and stole our hearts.

Hank was the most trusting and loving dog in our little family. But he was so fearful of everything outside the gate of our home. Luckily, we found the greatest behaviorist/trainer in Austin who truly changed his little life and ours. Hank was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 4 and after doing everything we could to fight it we lost him 8 months later. He was without doubt our "pet soulmate" and we miss him every single day.
