Arrival Story:
I had been a police k-9 handler and lost my dog (Nero) when I switched police agencies. We missed having a dog and wanted another German Shepherd Dog. We found Brutus on Petfinder.com. My wife called me from the computer room saying "I have found our dog," just from the pic and description on the site. Sure enough, after a 2 1/2 hour trip to Carlisle, Pa., where his foster family lives, we brought him home after the first meeting. We lost BruBru to bloat on September 29, 2006- his 10th birthday.
As close as I was to my police k-9 partner, I have never loved a dog as much as I did BruBru. I cannot explain the bond we had and he is greatly missed.
