Arrival Story:
My mommy and dad found me when I was walking down the road in Bryan, Texas. They were out hunting for a house to buy and I was wandering the street. I really liked them from the start because they let me go for a ride in their Jeep Wrangler. When I went home with them, I met my big sissy Sadie. She was the best big sissy ever and always protected me, because I sometimes get scared. We moved into a new house and I played every day with Sadie until she went to heaven in 2003. I have a new big sissy, Jazz, and she likes to play lots, which keeps me really young. I keep Jazz in line though and make sure that she isn't naughty.

Today I got back from having surgery at Dr. B's. As you can see, I have a very pretty green cast on my leg. It is very hard for me to walk around. It was so much easier being a tripod w/o my cast! Mommy was very worried about me, but Dr. B said I was SUCH a good girl and had a good appetite, so I should be fine. When daddy came to pick me up I was so excited about the ride in the car that I almost forgot I had a bad leg. I will get my cast off in 3 weeks and then I have to start physical therapy. Mommy says maybe I will even learn to use her treadmill in a few months to help my muscles get stronger. Sissy was very upset while I was gone. Mommy says Jazz sulked around the house the whole time I was at the hospital. The hardest thing for me is staying still and not getting up to bark at the mailman and going potty (daddy has to carry me out to the yard). I am getting used to all the pampering though. What a princess I am becoming! Hope I get well soon so I can go to the dog park. The weather is starting to get a lot nicer here!

Oops I slipped!

As if all this thirsty business wasn't enough. Guess what? I went and slipped on the ice and tore my ACL. I don't know what that is, but I do know that my left hind knee doesn't work quite right. You know, I just don't mind all that much. I'm a good tripod walker! Hippity Hop, Hippity Hop. But mommy says I can't go on like that for very long, so I have to have an operation :( I'm going in on March 20. Dr. Brown is going to fix my leg then. Guess what? Dr. Brown learned how to do surgery at Alameda East from Dr. Taylor, you know silly, Dr. Taylor from Emergency Vets on Animal Planet!! How cool! My dr. is famous, kind of. Good news though, I don't have Cushings right now, so mommy just has to "keep an eye on me". Mommy says I look skinnier too, so maybe some of my water in my tummy has gone away. That's great! Mommy got me a new hoodie when I had my ultrasound and she took pictures of me in it. For Pete's sake, she is sooooooo silly! Mommy says she's going to post the pictures soon and also a new video as soon as she can figure out how. For now, I'm happy staying off of DogTube. See you later!

Water, water, water. I can't get enough these days! Mommy and Daddy thought I was going crazy at first, but then when I drank 2 big bowls at once, they got worried and I had to go see Dr. O. I like to go see Dr. O because I get to ride in the CAR on the way, yippee!! And there are lots and lots of kitty friends when I get there. Dr. O gave me some tests, and said I was a REALLY good girl and very sweety and happy. Then guess what? I got to go for ANOTHER ride. Cool! Mommy stopped at the gas station and we went through the car wash on the way home. I didn't like it so much. There were lots of loud noises and things moving outside our car, but mommy held me for a while and I wasn't so scared.

Dr O. says my tummy is big and my kidneys aren't working good so I have to have some more tests. Mommy is worried, but I am happy, happy, happy. Did I mention that Jazz was soooooooo jealous that I got to go for a ride w/o her? I have another appointment on Thursday, and you guessed it, I get to go for ANOTHER ride!!! Yippee. Life is good, woof, woof.
