Brutus was diagnosed with Bone cancer on July 21st 2008 and we lost our baby doggie on Sept 26th 2008. We love and miss you Brutus, you are in our hearts forever

I have a new cart

I was diagnosed with degenerative nerve damage to my rear legs. lately when I walk I tend to fall or sway and sometimes I knuckle my paws and fall down. My dad has already built me some handicap ramps so that I can get down to the yard to do my business and get back up, lately its harder and harder for me to get back and forth without some help. I now have a doggie wheelchair (cart) which helps me get around and continue to take walks with my family and Bella. My parents seem sad about it sometimes, but I'm still really happy and I know they love me and thats mostly why they are sad because I used to be so active and probably not being able to see me do the things I used do makes them think that I am depressed about it. Im just so happy that they love me soooooo much!!
I'm getting used to my cart a little more every day. Mom was really surprised that I was walking the first time I tried it, I dont usually like things that roll so she was afraid I would try and attack the tires, I know its helping me so I'm dealing with it. Soon I'll be a pro!

Dad rocks!

My arthritis really sucks, its tough getting old. Dad built me a handicap ramp to get up and down to the back yard. My parents totally rock! I hear mom saying how my pills are 3 dollars a day, and its pretty expensive for humans but they never miss a day, so I guess that means they love me and dont want me to be in pain. Yesterday Bella saw a critter int he yard as I was going down the ramp she knock me down and I got stuck grrrrrr! Mom had to come and lift me up and it wasnt easy for her because I'm a big guy, Bella can be such a brat sometimes.

Brutus had surgery again on the 1st. he had something I cannot even pronounce right under his tail the size of a quarter (lump) because he is neutered theres a 99% chance that it is NOT cancerous, phew! while he was under he had his nails trimmed, melenoma moles removed (9) and his teeth cleaned, his blood panel told us he now also has hypothyroid, like Bella and must take apill daily for it. Brutus was also diagnosed with arthritis, and was prescribed derramaxx, as needed. it is tough getting old, but he is still a trooper, a big baby. We love you Bru!

4th of July baby!

Verrrrrrry scary. Mom and dad took Bella and me swimming all morning, and then daddy put this pill rolled in a ball of cheese for us to eat, it made me feel stoned, Bella looked stoned too. Mom put the radios on and made us a comfy spot on the couch with Animal planet on TV. There were lights flashing and loud booms and pops, it was really scary but we were really sleepy. Mom said Dr. Randle gave us good "doggie downers" because last year we clawed through the sheetrock and ate the doorknob, dad found us hiding in the room with the kitties. I was so scared that I didnt even care about them.
Im so glad mom & dad kept coming home to check us fromthe BBQ on our street, we got to eat lots of yummy food they were grilling up ;-)
Im glad its over.....
today I think I'll relax.

I had my 5th Surgery today 6-17

Dad dropped me off at Dr. Randles really early this morning. I love that place because everyone calls me handsome and pays lots of attention to me. The nice people there gave me a shot, and I got really sleepy and dreamed about how much I missed Bella, and mommy and daddy and my boy. When I woke up I had shaved fur spots all over me and stitches... I look like franken doggie, but boy, was I happy to see daddy come and get me and to see Bella mommy and my boy in the car waiting outside!! Mom bought me a big BBQ bone and she kissed my face and told me that Bella cried all day.
It s pretty cool how much they love me!
