Arrival Story:
Cara was brought to New Jersey on September 26, 2006 from County Cork, Ireland. She was purchased at a Gypsy Horse Fair in Mallow, County Cork, along with a Lurcher named Charlie. She resided at Rosemary Warren's Greyhound and Lurcher shelter outside the village of Donaraile until my mother and I met her in September 2006. She made the long trip overseas with another Greyhound named Badger, and the two of them now live together with a loving family in New Jersey. Her new parents, George and Barbara, just took Badger and Cara on a two-week camping trip--I am anxiously awaiting the photos from that trip! My mother and I remain her second-family, and she comes over for playdates and sleepovers as often as she can. She is loving her new life as a Jersey Girl!
