dear Diary,
it's my birthday today and it's raining again.
Mom took me to the dog park anyway when it slacked up a little and we had an
invigorating game of frisbee.
After a nice relaxing nap I had a yummy STEAK dinner!
Mom says I have become a great dog.
Life is good.
over&up!

Dear dogster diary;
I apologize that we've neglected you a bit - we've been spending some time over at Flickr putting up lots of photos of our fun times and travels.
My training is coming along pretty well and it's been a long time since I've been in a brawl with anydoggy.
My mom is quite pleased with me and hasn't threatened to send me back "to the pound" in ages!
Life is good!
over&up,
Sash

Dear diary,
Dog, how time flies!
I was just at the dog run this morning with my good buddies reminiscing about last winter when it was just the 4 of us, Casey,Lilly, Chauncey and me that were the only ones who would brave the elements and show up almost every day. It's hard to believe it's been a whole year.
Casey & Lilly's dad gave me my first frisbee and soon after that I was flying!
I rarely get in fights over tennis balls anymore. I'm officially a frisbee dog.
Then when I met Chauncey, well...the rest is history. We've been best pals ever since.
He's still the only one I'll give up my frisbee for.

Dear diary,
I've been working on my clicker training and I've learned some pretty neat things.
I have trouble with other things, though, and can't seem to think straight if my frisbee is anywhere around. Just for instance: my mom taught me "over and up" months ago and has been trying to incorporate it into my frisbee "routine" but, I don't know why, something happens to my brain and all I can think of to do is lunge for the frisbee when I see it. When Mom says "Over and up! " it just makes me even more frantic.
Oh, well, I guess it's not a deal-breaker like the fighting. I've been pretty good lately, if I do say so myself. No one has threatened to send me back to the orphanage in weeks!
over & up (I wish!)

Dear diary
We just returned from a 5 day dog-sitting visit on the upper west side of Manhattan.
My mom tells me she used to do this a lot with her last dog, Stella(she's ALways talking about Stella...). Back in the day it was the three friends Stella, Murphy and Zoe(their photo is on Stella's page) but Murphy went to the bridge too a few months after Stella did and now there's a new dog named Marley and, of course, I'm new too! I must say I had a pretty good time and even discovered I could have fun playing with another dog - we didn't even need a frisbee!
Marley was a woof a minute - I didn't even feel like beating him up.
Marley is very black and Mom calls him "Monkey Feet" because his paws and pads look like gorilla feet. I think I have to tell Chauncey about him. I hope he won't be too jealous.

Well, the Red Sox won again - the second time in 4 years...also the second time in about 80 years.
Mom says it went by way too fast and there was much too much spitting.

Dear diary,
I just got back from my first rescue dog "reunion". It was fun even though I didn't win the raffle or the hot dog toss and I got in a fight with my former foster brother, Rusty, over the clump of dirt he was eating.
Mom rolled her eyes but didn't threaten to give me back this time. Life is good.
over & up,
Sasha

Dear diary,
I got to go on my first road trip with my new mom - just the two of us!
We had to drive all the way to Florida when my human Grandma had a stroke.
I like to travel so it was easy to be on my best behavior - Mom says just like Stella, I'm a good "road dawg". We stopped every few hours and played a little frisbee and I was good to go again.
It turns out this was a good time for us to get to know each other.
When we got there it was HOT! There was still some snow on the ground when we left NY so
it was sort of a shock - I'm not ready for summer yet!
I spent a lot of time laying under a tree with my tongue hanging out and there was no way I could wait in the car for more than a few minutes even in a shady spot.
Two great things happened that made life a little easier - Mom was pleasantly surprised when the rehab facility allowed me to come in and visit with Grandma and a lot of the other folks who needed a dog to pet. Mom was very proud of how well I behaved. Also lucky for me, we discovered Dogwood Park, a huge off-leash dog park with a big lake for me to swim in!
I'm a happy camper.
over & up,
Sasha
