A Day In My life

another doggy day

I've been sleeping all day today, but last night around 9:00 Mommy let me run outside without a leash. That doesn't happen very often because I don't like to come back when Mommy calls me. I think I should come back whenever I feel like it. Anyway, I was so excited b/c I knew she was going to let me run, so I jumped around in front of the door, and as soon as she opened it I bolted away. I ran to try to find my best friend Missy, but her parents already had her inside for the night. So I ran across the road, and up the hill and found my other friend Brutus. He's a lot bigger then me, but I think I'm faster than he is. So we played together for a long time, I don't like to run too far away, so we stayed around his house. About two hours later, I was really tired, so I came back and sat on my deck. I could hear Mommy, and her dad inside watching a movie, but it was so nice out I didn't want to go in. Then Mommy turned on the outside light so I could see, and Mommy's brother came outside and called me, but I ran away from him because it was so nice out, and I didn't feel like coming in yet. So then I layed down on the sidewalk, and after about half an hour of that I heard something up by the road and went to investigate. As I was sniffing around up there, I heard some very light footsteps behind me, and as soon as I turned around Mommy was right there and grabbed my collar. I don't know how she came up to me so fast, I didn't think anyone could catch me. Anyway, she took me inside, and she gave me, Emma, and Maggie a treat, then we all went to bed. Overall it was a fun night, and I hope I can do it again tonight.
