My new homeOctober 25th 2007 7:39 am[ Leave A Comment ] We've been in Brooklyn for a long time now! When we first got here I was really nervous because all of those big brown boxes were all over and I had to stay in a new place. But now that we're all settled I love it! There were a lot of changes. Instead of going in the backyard now I have to put on my leash and go to the park. Sometimes Mommy takes me in these fenced-in places to play without my leash. When I'm in there sometimes other dogs come too. I'm meeting a lot of other dogs and having fun. To go outside now I have to go into this little room and it moves and when the door opens we're somewhere else. Mommy calls it an "elevator." It was really weird at first but not anymore! Out building has lots of other dogs in it, and most of them are nice to me. The other day we met this really mean terrier that snarled at me, and his owner didn't even care! Other than that it's great. There are doormen in our building and I've made friends with them. Sometimes they give me biscuits when I come in from a walk. I know exactly where they keep the box of treats, so when I come in I try to go stand by them so they'll know they're supposed to give me some. I'm having lots of fun here in Brooklyn.
This thing they call "moving"July 17th 2007 3:30 pm[ Leave A Comment ] The house is all crazy! Things keep disappearing from the walls and my humans keep putting things into these big brown squares they call "boxes." Mommy says this is what they have to do to go to this Brooklyn place. Mommy says my life my life is going to be very different but a lot of fun. Apparently there are people on our floor in our new building who have a big dog! I hope I can make new friends in Brooklyn, because I just made a new friend in Savannah named Pixie and I really like having someone to play with.
Brooklyn?May 16th 2007 5:13 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Mommy told me that we're moving this summer. She said we're going to live in a place called "Brooklyn," in "New York." Apparently I'm not going to have a backyard anymore, which makes me kind of sad. But then Mommy told me I would be able to do a lot of walking and go to places called dog parks so I can run around off my leash. I'm kind of nervous about it, but Mommy seems really excited, and so do Grandma and Grandpa, so it must be a really wonderful place. I'm going to try to be excited too!

My mommy looked up my name. It's Yiddish for "luck."
Doggie School.March 26th 2007 11:23 am[ Leave A Comment ] I graduated from puppy class! Woof!! In a few weeks I start intermediate classes, which sounds hard, but should be really fun. The teacher says there's a Yorkie in the intermediate class, so this time I won't be the only small dog there. Yay!
My surgery storyFebruary 14th 2007 8:57 am[ Leave A Comment ] Yesterday my mommy made me wake up really early, but she wouldn't let me eat breakfast. Then we got in the car and she took me to a big scary place. I think it was the place she took me home from! We went inside, and she handed me to the woman behind the desk. The lady was very nice to me, but then my mommy left me there!! No matter how much I wiggled around, I couldn't get back to her. Then the lady took me to this big trailer and put me in a cage. I was so scared. A bunch of other people came in with masks and funny hats on and tried to do stuff to me. I remember trying to nip at one of them, but that's about it. I think I went to sleep for a long time. When I woke up, I was back in one of the cages, and my belly hurt a whole lot. I had no idea what happened! Thankfully, before too long, my mommy came and got me. I was so happy to see her, even though my belly was still sore. In the car on the way home I fell asleep. I was so tired and groggy I didn't know what to do. At home, mommy and Barney and I laid on mommy's bed and I took another nap. Then my grandma came home and she was so happy I was OK. She tried to hold me, but every time someone touched near my belly, it would hurt so bad that I'd cry out. Mommy and Grandma kept talking about something called "spaying." I guess that's what happened to me. I slept a whole lot last night, and I wasn't allowed to eat anything. That's OK though, my tummy felt funny. I even threw up a little outside. This morning I woke up feeling a ton better, and I was starving! Mommy says my scar looks good, so she's happy. She said that she wouldn't make me do anything like that again is she could help it, so I was really happy. I'm still not sure what this whole "spaying" thing is, but there's a big line down my tummy and my people are all really happy. Hopefully it's something good! Mommy says it's the right thing to do, and I trust her, so it should all be OK.
Oh, the horrorJanuary 27th 2007 11:33 am[ Leave A Comment ] I got my first pedicure today. Mommy took me to Hoof and Woof, where they trimmed my toenails. It was so scary. I cried for Mommy the whole time and no one listened. I was so scared I clawed the neck of the girl that was holding me. I hope I didn't hurt her too badly. Finally I was returned to my Mommy. In the car on the way home I dozed off. I don't ever want to do that again.
bienvenidos todos los perros!January 25th 2007 1:34 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Well, I'm laying on Mommy's chest while she types this for me. What a life! I got yelled at again today for playing with Barney's tail. But it's so fluffy, I can't help myself! I also pooped in Mommy's TV room, but she didn't yell too badly about that one. I say, that's what she gets for putting me in my crate for two hours today. Hahahaha. I start my classes at PetSmart tonight. I wonder what that will be like. Maybe I'll meet some nice new friends. I hear if you do what they want, they give you treats. Could this be true?
