   Leave a bone for Buck

Buckaroo, Bucky, Sweetie, Noodle, Buck-Buck, Yucky Bucky

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

Buck loves a good butt scratching, going for walks, visiting the pet store, going for car rides and playing with his best friend Remington. He tries to play with Tasha next door, but she's too old! She still likes him to come over and say hello though.

Buck hates getting his nails trimmed (although he's getting better!), baths, and our cat Sheridan (the feeling is mutual)

Favorite Toy:
Buck loves rope toys but tennis balls are a close second. He also likes his Kong!

Favorite Food:
greenies, various vegetables (not carrots though) and pig ears. He also gets big raw meat bones a couple times a week. Those are probably his most favorite.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere really but if he can be offleash it's a bonus. We've been visiting Asylum Lake a lot.

Best Tricks:
Buck's most fun tricks are roll over and play dead. He used to be able to fetch the paper, but I stopped having him do it and he's forgotten it I think.

Arrival Story:
I found Buck abandoned in Kentucky. He was too sweet to be left on his own so I took him home. :-)

Buck's dominant breed is probably Laborador Retriever and I know he's got to have some hound in there. If anyone out there has some guesses though, I'd love to know!

Forums Motto:
Is that food?

Today was a very good day for Buck. He successfully caught, killed and ate a rabbit! I never thought he would be able to catch one, but he did. It was really gross and a little upsetting for me, but Buck didn't even attempt to hide how satisfied he was with his success. I attempted to get the rabbit away from him, but not wanting to spoil his moment, I gave up quickly and let him crunch away on the poor thing.

The only downside to this experience (for me anway, the downside for the rabbit is obvious!) is that eating a rabbit gives Buck bad gas! Oh well, he doesn't seem to mind so I guess it's OK...

Yay it's Wednesday! Wednesday is my day off and Buck and I are headed out to Asylum Lake Preserve for a nice long hike! It's a little chilly so as soon as the sun is up all the way I think I'll pack a snack and we'll go!

Asylum Lake is great because not many people go there and especially nobody goes on a chilly fall Wednesday morning. Buck gets to run the trails offleash which isn't technically allowed... But what's the use of having a great recall if he never gets to use it!

This has been a great couple of weeks for Buck because my Grandfather has been staying with us for a while! Buck loves having somebody home all day to let him in and out and keep him company! Grandpa and Buck get along so well that I think I'm going to have to make sure he doesn't try and smuggle my Bucky out of here!
