Arrival Story:
I heard about Bear through a co-worker. She saw a picture of my other golden, Spirit, and informed me she knew of a wonderful dog that lived in a cage in a basement 24/7, by himself and in the dark. It broke my heart. She talked him into surrendering the dog. I was planning on fostering until I found a great forever home, but things changed when I found out he had not been to a doctor in 4 years! He was loaded with heartworms which we are currently treating. He is now up to date on his shots, and will be neutered once we get through the heartworm treatment. So bottom line is, once we get to the end of all this, how could I give him up???
