Arrival Story: I found Mollie at our local shelter on October 28th, 2006.
She was 1 year old and in heat and the craziest dog I've ever met. We were really careful to get her through her heat and she was spayed on February 12th, 2007.
October 28th, 2009: In the 3 years that Mollie has been with us, her and I have developed an incredible bond. At four years old, she's still the craziest dog I've ever known and most of my friends agree. She's exuberant... but she's definitely my girl and always will be.
Bio: Well it's bout time she let's me bark. I still member the day she came in ta the shelter. I kept staring at er, giving her my sad eyes. She calls it my "Sad Sack" look but I don't care cuz it worked. She fell fur it hook, line & sinker, snort, snort. She thought I was this poor, abused dawg and fell in luvvv.
Once I got ta my new home, I knewed I was in the clear. I hear er tellin my new hooman bro, Drew that it was a lifetime commitment. Course, my new poppa thought I was on some week long trial. As if she could a ever given me up - BOL!!! She was already spending lotsa money on me. Next thing ya know, she had im out buying me a crate that was big enough for me cuz even he didn't want me sleeping in one that was too small.
Yeah, that seems like a life time ago. I do ave it made ere tho an I sure do luv my momma and I know she luvs me so, I think I'll stay.
Forums Motto:
I jus got back from my walk wif momma. Oh she had ta fight wif herself ta get me out this mornin. The cold weather is definitely here and when momma woke up, the oil tank was thirstin so the house was COLD....brrrrr.
We hadn't been back ta the dawg pawk, udder than on Sunday wif poppa an they jus had their co-op student then. Poppa said it was purdy obvious that the student is learnin from them tho cuz he was carryin round the stick ta control the dogs. That day momma jus wanted ta get me out back ta see how I'd do an I did not let her down.
So taday momma got me leashed up an off we went. We were at the dawg pawk fur all of bout 5 minutes befur momma was leashin me up again an we went fur a walk. Thank Dawg momma's gettin her knee surgery soon cuz she's limpin from that one.
When we got ta the pawk, it was jus crabby Linda on her own. I was so excited, like I always am an when I furst got there ran right inta the barn. Then I got chased out by a white Standard Poodle. That was fine but there was a new girl there...almost my size, long black hair, named Cora.
Well....Cora an I started a game a chase right away. Of course ta Linda, it was me chasin Cora...the new one an as we were runnin through the barn, momma heard Linda screamin at me so she called me to come ta her. Once again she was not impawressed.
So momma looked fur a ball ta throw so I'd furget about Cora cuz crabby Linda was bitchin bout Cora bein new and the dogs chasin er. Momma found a ball an a few of us started goin fur it. But then Cora kept runnin circles round me, with her tail all waggin, bouncin round. I was sure she was wanting ta play chase again but everytime I'd head toward her, momma would say Mollie...leave it, wif that firm voice an have me focus on that stupid busted up ball. On the bright side...momma was so impawressed wif how well I was listenin ta her "leave it" command.
Still, I guess she realized how stupid it was. We're at a dawg pawk. It sure looks like Cora wants ta play chase....but if I engage an play chase wif her...I will get yelled at by cranky Linda.
An momma??? She knows herself. She'll only put up wif that fur so long befur she's snarlin at this woman. Momma says she's probably jus not happy.
Momma dropped the ball an said C'mon Mollie...we're goin fur a walk. It was a nice walk. An momma said maybe poppa will take us ta the udder dog pawk later so I can run free.
Momma's really angry at her puter right now. She said it's actin like a complete dik, whatever that is. All I know is that she says that when it makes er really, really angry.
It was purdy crummy weather yesterday an momma was spendin mosta the day in er jammies, workin on a special project....I think that's pawt a why she's angry at er puter. I don't like bein rained on so I was more then happy ta hang around inside udder then goin out ta do my biz.
But taday bofe me an momma were gettin cabin feber so we went off ta the dawg pawk wif poppa. This time poppa drove us there. I thought it was a bit strange at furst but I was jus soooo happy ta be there.
My friend Max, the chocolate coloured GSP was there an so was Frankie, the big American Bull Dog. His name is really Frankenstein but they call em Frankie fur short.
Poppa threw the ball a lot an I had fun wif the udder dawgs an then it was time ta go. Well...momma went ta the car but poppa walked me right past it. Little did I know that momma was gettin the last a the lung chunk treats outta the car fur me an we was headin off ta the back field.
We got so far an poppa tole me ta sit an then.....

. he took off my leash!!! I couldn't believe it. No fence an I was leashless!! Well you bet yur tail I ran. But I kept my eyes on my pawrents the whole time. An they were keepin their eyes on me. Momma knew I wouldn't go too far.
I went off ta the tree line ta sniff out a few critters an after a bit I went runnin back ta my pawrents again. They were sooo proud a me.
Momma said were gonna do it some more. She jus always....fur now...wants ta have either poppa or Drew wif er.
Well...I'm havin my dinner right now. My pawrents found pigs feet fur me. I never had pigs feet befur an Oh My Dawg is it ever Yummy, yummy in my tummy!!!
It's been about a week now that momma's been takin me ta the dawg pawk up the road. It really is a purdy cool place but.... *** there's always a but, ain't there????
Momma wasn't too keen on the wife a the couple who own the place when she furst called. Then she was impawressed wif what they did wif the place... so was I.
We've been goin every day. It's kinda fun walkin there an then bein able ta play wif the udder dawgs. But momma's seein some signs that have er sayin that she would definitely never leave me wif them (they do daycare an boardin as well).
Ta be quite honest, I don't think they really unnerstand dawgy behaviour too well. Linda (the wife) is always grumpy an they yell a lot. They don't like it when the dogs stawt to bark an they don't unnerstand too much how dawgs play, I think.
An momma has seen a few things that bothered her. The udder day, bofe Linda an Mike (husband & wife owners) were MIA fur about 20 minutes, leavin all the daycare dawgs unattended. Mind you, momma was outside as well as a couple a udder mommas wif their dawgs but they don't work there.
Then yesterday when anudder dawg was arrivin, I wanted ta join the welcome committee at the gate. Momma pulled me out once, gently but I got back in. Befur momma could get ta me, Mike grabbed my collar an flung me back. Momma was NOT impawressed at all but let it go as it didn't seem ta phase me an right now wif her knee the way it is, we need some place fur me ta get exercise.
But then taday we walked over there an Mike was out in the back field wif a few dawgs an Linda was in the fenced in area wif the udder dawgs. I gots ta meet a handsome poodle who looks jus like little Ginger McNugget, all growned up. Anyway, Linda was all grumpy like she usually seems ta be.
I eventually gots ta playin wif the American Bull Dog that I really like an Earl (the poodle who looks like Ginger). We was havin a good time, slammin against each udder an makin all kindsa gruntin an barkin noises. Well didn't grumpy Linda yell at us ta STOP IT!!!
We were only there bout 15 minutes by then. Momma was really peed then so we left an went fur a walk. I mean fur Dawgs sake, if we can't play at the dawg pawk, what's the point a bein there??? Grrrrrr......
Oh well. Momma jus needs ta think bout how we can best utilize this till things change fur us. I am gettin better at my recall.... maybe she can use their back field an let me run....work on my recall some more.
