summer is over

its been a very hard week......the summer is over and my family has gone back to school and to work......now i have very busy days......i have lots of jobs......during the summer all i have to do is get belly rubs....and on very hot hot days i get to have popsicles..but now i have to get up very early....i have to wake up my human brother......we like the sleeping in days much better.......there are lots of things i have to woof at too......school buses.....noisey children......falling leaves......and then i have to take my human brother to school......its important for me to ride on his lap and stick my face out the window......i have to snarfle the air and make sure the smell is just right.......i do get lots of smoochies on the way...especially when my human brother gets out of the car.......then i ride on my mommy......i like it especially when she stops at lights....the people all think im very cute with my face hanging out the window......when we get home i make sure she has all her stuff.....and she gives me lots of hugs good-bye.....dont tell but while shes gone i take long long naps......and when she comes home i get a big treat......yummy..........i hope theres leftover pot roast.......i better go see

snarfle...snarfle......sunday

oh today is my most favorite day of all........there is soooo much laziness.......my whole family slept late......so that means extra time for snuggling and belly rubbing.......it also means theres a ginormous breakfast that i get lots of.......i snarfled some pancake from my mommy........and then i snarfled a big giant egg biscuit from my human big brother......and when no one was looking.....i snarfled some bacon......after all that snarfling i needed a nap........it was so sunny in front of the window that i slept forever in the bright glow.......and when i woke up it was lunchtime......my mommy made me a turkey burger all for me....so i snarfled the whole thing right up........and then i saw that someone had left me a little something in my bowl.......so i snarfled up the goodies.........and then it was time for my brushing.......my mommy usually refers to me as a little monster during much of this brushing business.......so in order for me to cooperate i get to snarfle animal crackers......so i snarfled a big pile full.......particularly since it was also nail clipping day.....that meant some extra snarfling for squirming......i wonder what sunday dinner will bring......i love snarfle sundays!!!!!!!!!!!

when i woke up this morning i just knew it was going to be a grrreeeeaaaattttt day.........i slept in all snuggly warm under the blankets........my mommy scratched my belly for the longest time........i got lots of hugging.....and loving....some more scratching........i just love the smoochies.....i follow my mommy everywhere....so when she got up i did too(sometimes i do like to snuggle back in the covers just in case shes gonna come back)...and then my human brother accidentally left his scrambled eggs plate unguarded......ooooohhhhh yummy......they were the best eggs ever....did i mention the toast i managed to snarfle????.........oh yyuuuummmmyyyyy.........much better than the cold cereal brother ended up with......then i decided i had better go outside and do my best to guard and be bossy........i like to bark at stuff ya know.......snow......falling leaves.......butterflies.....people......sometimes nothing......oh and lucy...the dingy dog next store......i let out a few woofies.........i rolled around........and rubbed my face in the snow.......then i looked across the snow covered lawn..... and what do you think i saw????.......the most sinister creature of all......the bunny rabbitt......and he saw me too......when i see him he makes me crazy...if im inside i run in circles trying to find the best window for which to peer from......but now here we are face to face......so what did i do.....i let out a woofie........and i took a step back.......then that evil devil hopped towards me....so i took another step back with another louder woofie........but the demonic white fluffy thing took yet another hop towards me......by now my mommy was at the back door due to all the commotion........even the site of my mommy didnt frighten the sinister fluffliness so i barked really loud and took one more step back......what i didnt realize was that i had stepped back so far that i ran into the back step so i let out a heralded yelp and raced inside...i thought for sure the bunny had his pack of bunny pals sneak up from behind and bite me in my cute little hiney........i raced inside to my waiting mommy........boy is she sure glad im here to protect her.....
