Dear Diary,

I'm Prissy's mom. Priss went over Rainbow Bridge on Friday, March 30, 2012. I miss her so much. She was always one to lay in my lap, quietly for the longest time. Now my lap feels cold and empty.
The first part of Prissy's life was terrible. I hope she learned some forgiveness of those that would neglect and abuse her. She did learn that she could love, and be loved.

A new sister?

Mommie said I'm probably getting a new sister! Ain't that just so cool! She's been saying I would probably like one, but I'm not too sure. I'd have to share my stuff, huh? Nooooo! Maybe mama will get her some toys too, and I don't have to share. But.... ok... well, maybe. If she's nice.
I saw a picture of her. She's all black, and has a lot of fur like me. But, I'm bigger than she is, so I'll be the big sister, and she will be the little sister.
We get to meet her on Sunday. I sure hope she likes to play, because I want somebody to play with when mommie is gone to work.
I get to show her about those squirrels! We can both bark at them!

What's a Grand-Dog?

We took a nice long road trip... one I've taken a bunch of times before. We went to see my granny and pawpaw.... and that dumb little black thing. Momma said he is my brother, or cousin or something like that. His name is Rambo and he thinks he's something special. I don't think so. Seems like just a little snooty Yorkie to me. Anyway, we had a nice visit.... and then momma left and she hasn't come back yet! She left me here! Where did she go? Have you seen her? I miss her so much. But, I guess I'm ok... granny feeds me and I got a nice yard to play in, and they let me sleep on the couch, or anywhere I want too. But I'll tell you what... I'm not gonna play with him...thats for sure! Momma did say she would bring me something nice from somewhere ... I don't know what it is. Something she said was Vegas.
Some lady... I don't know who she is either, but she did say I was pretty.
That made me smile! Granny said I was her Grand-dog and she was baby-sitting.
Baby sitting! Yap... can you believe that! I am not a baby!
Woof...Woof.....

Wow! Did you hear that!?

I was so scared today. Like not in a real long time. I think mommie was scared too, but she was holding me tight and said it would be ok. She said I was shaking all over. I bet I was! It was thundering so hard that picture of the horse with a funny horn fell off of the wall. It didn't break though, thats good. I think mommie would not have liked that. But some other stuff made her kind of sad though. The TV thing don't work and she said ther 'puter won't work too. The lightening zapped it! I thought it was gonna zap me too! Boy... my whole house was shaking as much as I was. But, its all quiet now. I hope so. It rained a whole lot. The road... I think thats what she calls it... she won't let me play there, anyway, its all covered with water. I don't want to play there now. I think I would drown.
Oh, mommie said to let y'all know, she can only get on a puter at work, at least till we gets ours fixed.
I hope the sun shines soon. I'm tired of this rain. Too much rain, I can't even play in the yard and I haven't seen those danged squirrels for days.

Now, how could my hide get holes in it?

Today I was out barking at that squirrel by the kitchen window, and it even barked back at me! Can you believe that?! It knows what I said!
Well, mama said if I didn't leave that squirrel alone she was gonna have my hide if that squirrel got a hold of me. Then she said, it might have holes in it when that squirrel got through. What does that mean??
Its just a little squirrel! And it ain't got no hair on its tail!
My tail is purdy... mama said so.

Drat that squirrel!

Hey guess what? You know that squirrrel, the one with no hair on its tail.... well, it was on the porch today and I just... almost got it! Almost!
Mom said if I had caught it I might have needed help letting it go. What does that mean?
Oh, well, I got to bark at a FedEx guy today too, but he petted me, so that was cool. He brought a big box. I don't know what was in it, but I got to lay down in it for a while. Mommie was doing something with the stuff that was in it. She put it in the freezer... maybe its food!
Tomorrow is Saturday, and I'm glad. Mommie will be home this weekend. We can play and play! Y'all come over!

Its today....

I like to sleep snuggle up next to mommies back, or leg, or arm... but she keeps pushing me away today. I don't know why. She's not mad or anything I don't think... I even got some milk bones treats!
It sure is hot in here. I'm panting and everything. I scratched on that grate thing on the floor, but there isn't any cool air coming out of it like there usually is. Maybe its broke, because mommie is fretting about something. There was a nice man here yesterday working on that big box in the back yard. I tried to play with him, but he mostly just ignored me. Mommie told him I was a brat... but she tells everybody that. He smiled at me a lot though.
Mommie said he would come back in a couple of days. I hope he fixes the grate thing on the floor. It sure is hot today, but I'm gonna go run the yard... y'all wanna come too!? There is even a squirrel out there... we can bark at it!
