 Quick Bio:
 Likes: Mommy's lap

Pet-Peeves: Cold weather, vet, having nails cut, baths

Favorite Toy: Squeak plush or rawhide (although he tries to swallow the entire thing!)

Favorite Food: FrostyPaws, peanut butter, and anything we eat... and his own food when he can't charm his way to our plates.

Favorite Walk: To Papa's house

Best Tricks: Sleeping and faking a limp when he is tired of walking ( sometimes he just stops walking, as we keep on, and waits for someone to come back & pick him up!)

Arrival Story: It was a Friday and I was on the internet searching for a companion dog for my other dog, Randi. I found one I was interested in and filled out the application. I was contacted less than 10 min. later. The lady told me she did not know where the dog I was requesting was.... but... she did have a dog that needed a foster home that was currently living in Auburn, AL and wanted to know if I could provide that home. The dog she was speaking of was Thomas. I had never had any interest in Dachshunds, but gave it some considerations. When asked when the dog would be placed with me the answer was... tomorrow!! Wow, not a lot of time to think about it, but I figured, what the heck, we'll keep him until he is ready for adoption and then we could look for another companion dog for Randi - ours to keep. Well, I probably don't have to say this, but after a couple of days, I knew that Thomas would be staying with us for good! Now I just LOVE Dachshunds and can't imagine having a "big" dog.

Bio: Thomas is also a very loving dog. Sometimes too much. I sometimes get the feeling that Thomas would be happy ANYWHERE he could get attention and fed. I have to make regular trips to my dad's house to "retrieve" him, and when we go and visit he never wants to leave, just stands next to Papa while I am calling him.
