The day Mabel was to be released for adoption, I went down and stood outside the door of the SPCA until they opened. Bio: Mabel's name came from Maple, as in syrup. A young friend suggested Maple b/c of her coloring. My now husband wanted to name her Krimpet after Tastykake's Butterscotch Krimpets, but it didn't suit her. Mabel came to my office everyday for the first 5 weeks I had her. She is responsible for no less than 6 co-workers adopting puppies within the first 3 months of being with me.
