Likes: Food! Walks, cuddling, sleeping in my chair, The Shack
Pet-Peeves: Being left alone, loud noises like fireworks and thunder
Favorite Toy: My duck
Favorite Food: Popcorn, ice cream, green beans
Favorite Walk: Anywhere and everywhere
Best Tricks: I don't do tricks. I just look cute.
Arrival Story: I was found wandering the alleys of Clouquet, and Friends of Animals found me. They couldn't find my owner. My Aunt Dede called my mom and dad to see if they wanted another puppy and they did!
Bio: I like to go to the shack and be with the guys. Really, I like to go anywhere with anybody - I just like to go! I don't like being left alone, and when someone leaves I jump onto the back of the couch to watch them go. I also monitor the goings-on in the world from that spot. I like to cuddle and be held. When I need a nap, I jump into my big leather chair or make a nest out of my blankies. (Sometimes that annoys my sister when she's sleeping on them!) I like to go hunting, but the gunshots scare me. Sometimes barking at big dogs get me into trouble. My favorite times are when my whole family is at home where I can keep an eye on them!
Good quote from a book my hu-sister just finished reading - pups are important in this world:
"For those who despair that their lives are without meaning and without purpose, for those who dwell in a loneliness so terrible that it has withered their hearts, for those who hate because they have no recognition of the destiny they share with all humanity, for those who would squander their lives in self-pity and in self-destruction because they have lost the saving wisdom with which they were born, for all these and many more, hope waits in the dreams of a dog, where the sacred nature of life may be clearly experienced without the all but blinding filter of human need, desire, greed, envy, and endless fear. And here, in dream woods and fields, along the shores of dream seas, with a profound awareness of the playful Presence abiding in all things, [there is One who has always loved you]." - Dean Koontz, One Door Away From Heaven

Dad took me for a ride out to the shack today so he could pick up the garbage and such. When we got there he went to go do somethin' and once he was good and distracted I made a beeline for the fire pit! I smelled somethin' gooooood in there!
Well, I didn't get to scrounge around in there for long before Dad caught me and I got shooed away. I was a little dirty, so I got dipped in the lake. Then on the way back I was roaming down the trail, minding my own business and leading the way like always when Dad called me back. So I trotted back there to see what the excitement was all about. He was standin' there pointed at something called a SNAKE.
It wasn't really moving and when I sniffed it, it didn't smell very good. Didn't look like somethin' I could eat, so I gave it my tzu death stare until is slithered away. Dad laughed at me and said I wasn't much of a hunter. I say why bother if it doesn't taste good??
I just got an email from our wonderful HQ saying I am a Dogster Daily Diary Pick!!! I'm so glad someone reads my entries and enjoys them! I am really glad that hu-sis signed me up for an account here. We all have so much fun chatting and writing and leaving treats and bones fur all our pals! Thanks to all for making this such a great community to be!
So, hu-sis and her hubby came over for a BBQ on Friday. That was fine, but they brought fur-cousin Shula! (I just can't seem to get rid of her!) First, she ran around sniffing everything and trying to herd Chauncey and I. Then Mom gave us all marrow bones, and when Shula finished hers she tried to take MINE! I was sitting in the hallway, just chewing away, and all of a sudden she sticks her head under my belly and tries to get close to the bone! NOT COOL!
So I snapped at her a little bit and she quit for awhile. That happened a couple of times. After that, she started pickin' on Chauncey. She wouldn't leaver her alone at all! (Mostlu because Chauncey wouldn't quit barking at her...fool.) So Mom takes Chauncey in the chair and sits with her. Shula figured that out quick and kept going at her, so Mom took a blankie and held it in front of the chair so Chaunce was hidden. That worked for a little while, but Shula wised-up and started sticking her nose into the blankie, and Chauncey barked and nipped at it! It was kinda funny to watch. After that when on for a bit (and alll that family is laughing, of course) she started chasing ME again, so I went and hid on Mom's lap behind the blankie, too! Well, Shula went nutso then and kept poking and nipping, and we were pokin' and nippin' back!!! Well, all the hu-family was laughin' so hard they couldn't talk. I didn't find it amusing. Hu-sis got some pictures, so I will put them on here to show what a brat Shula is. Hmmph.
