Today it started raining at home, just before I meet Rufus for our weekly playdate. But everyone is so happy! Our water restrictions are tough, but the rain prayer some people said in church worked and God opened the heavens! I wish I could run outside and leap into the air, barking joyfully. But Mum says I have to stay in so I don't get scared of the occasional thunder. Oh, well. One day I'll be out when the rain starts and whatever Mum and Dad do, I will not come in. See you next week, Rufus!

"I'm not a dog for mushy stuff
But once I had a tiny crush
On an anaconda in a tree
But suddenly it had a CRUSH on me!"
Seriously, I'm not a dog for mushy stuff, but Valentine's Day is different. I don't know why, but went to look for a valentine sometime a few weeks ago, and I found a beautiful young dog. She was wearing a Santa cap and had hinted at another dog, but I told her the truth and she said she would be my Valentine! I also put a heart background on my page, but because all the romantic songs were taken, I just put the Indiana Jones song on. My page has been Valentine-ified! So I wonder what this Valentine's will bring...

No, not A banjo- Banjo! I'm an Irish Setter who is 1 year old. My birthday's in October and although I'm younger than my pal Rufus, I'm also much taller. I have a glossy red coat, long floppy ears and a tongue so large it goes down my chin (do dogs have chins???) when I'm panting. Okay, maybe I'm bragging a little. But anyway. I live with my mum and dad in a peaceful suburbian home with a nice garden. My mum likes gardening, and gets giant bags full of soil just for me to rip up! She scolds me when I do it, but I just look up like saying, "Hey, didn't you buy this for me?" My dad watches the football/rugby and goes for the Bulldogs. He also likes watching the cricket and playing it with Rufus' brother on our playdates. I steal the ball and slobber on it so they won't pick it up (grin). I met Rufus in doggy class and teacher said we should have playdates since we're the same height (almost). Since then, we meet each other every weekend at about 6:30 when the daylight savings makes it dark later. 5:00 when it makes it dark earlier. I love chasing swallows and playing with my squeaky monkey or my rubber chicken from Ruffians dog toys. I got the chicken as a Christmas present from Rufus. I remember setting eyes on it- loved it, but kept dropping it. I dropped it out the window so Dad put it in the front seat. I climbed over from my back seat to where it was and climbed to the driver's seat. Then I dropped it out that window, which was open as far as it would go. I still wanted it, so in one great leap, I tried to throw myself out the window after it. Mum got it for me and clipped my leash on it the back, rolled up the windows and started the car. (Thank goodness it wasn't going when I dropped it out the window, we were still in the parking lot). Anyway, it's my bedtime. Goodnight!
