Merry Christmas 2007

Well, this morning has been very exciting. I got a stocking from Santa with my name and picture on it full of goodies like smoked sardines and chew stick thingees. My brother helped me open my present which was a big brown dog that makes weird noises. I am wearing my snowman bandana and a lovely pepperpmint pom pom scarf that mom made me. Oh, and my sparkly red collar. Sigh. Well, mom said the turkey won't be ready for 3 more hours so I'm going to take a power nap now. Merry Christmas to all my pals!

How my birthday went

Well for my birtday I got a lovely carrot cake and a ball stomper thing. My people stomp on one end and a lovely tennis ball shoots out the other end. Woo Hoo! Mom finished my lovely red and white scarf with pompoms on the end (even though I nearly destroyed it a couple of days ago). It looks fab with the diamond collar. I overheard her telling Dad that my stocking was done. What the heck is a stocking? My brother (the poo poo head human) is getting one too. The 'rents are freaking out cos all the sudden he is obsessed with spider man and they thing they gotta run out and buy spider man stuff for his "Christmas". I'm so confused but have a good feeling about "Christmas". The house smells good and I am getting way more cookies than ever....people cookies, thanks to poo poo head. Mom didn't even get very mad when I chewed up some toys wrapped up with pretty paper and ribbons the other day. Ah, the thrill of shredding paper. I haven't had so much fun since mom moved all the Kleenex boxes outta my reach. Sigh. So, I wonder just when Christmas is ganna happen?

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my first birthday! Mom made me a lovely bundt cake (carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese frosting) and gave me a real present and said this morning I'll get eggs. Real people eggs. Right there in my doggie bowl. Woo Hoo! Maybe she'll take me to Petco! I love petco. Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me....

Mom is sooo sorry she hasn't been checking my dogster page. She's had some hospital stays that have gotten her really down. She thanks everyone for sending me notes and presents. We'll be back soon!

Weight 35 lbs!

I only eat my kibble if mom puts "something" on it. I might be spoiled. But then again, being a dainty eater means I won't get fat. HEe hee hee.

I finally got my teeth brushed!

Mom was sooo afraid cos my razor sharp puppy teeth have got her a few times in play. The vet's website suggested starting with gauze or finger brushes. Mom got one and I didn't mind it at all. I really just wanted to lick the paste but mom let me a little and then kept on brushing, brushing, brushing. I was rather resistant but she kept on doing it till she was satisfied.

Four days post op and my new Halti.

Well I'm 4 days post-op and I gained 2 pounds! I obviously got my appetite back.
Mom used my new Halti yesterday for the first time after deciding that not only was the choker not working, but that it wasn't very nice.
The halti worked immediatly and perfectly! It's a freaking miracle!
