My first litter
14 weeks oldSeptember 25th 2008 5:09 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Well, the house feels lonely now. There is only one puppy left, Apollo. He will be leaving on Monday and joining his new family in Boise, ID. He will have 2 other dogs to play with and 4 kids. Hades went to live with a nice and active young lady in VA. He will be living close to his sister Artemis and they are planning play dates. Poseidon went to Atlanta, GA as a gift for a nice young man from his girlfriend. My human and the girlfriend had planned it as a surprise and boy, was he surprised. Poseidon's new name is Barrett and he is now here on Dogster along with his new brother, Lawson. Finally, little Aphrodite was adopted by a nice family with two boys, 15 and 11. They live near Philadelphia so she is the closest of all my babies. It looks like we will be moving next summer so I don't think I will get to have puppies next year. While they were exhausting and I was not myself from the moment I got pregnant until just recently, I do hope to do it again. Stay tuned...

Hi everyone,
8 weeks oldAugust 13th 2008 10:35 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Today is a sad day for me - my first pup left for his new home. He is on a airplane on his way to Germany where he will join his new family. They have two young boys and a female Thai Ridgeback to keep him busy. I know he will be happy there but we will all miss him. He was the biggest boy in the litter and has the most beautiful needle ridge on his back. His coat is nice and short and a rich cocoa black color. In two days, one of my littlest girls will be going home with her new mom to NH. Then on Saturday, my only two blue puppies will be leaving as well. The boy will be going Hoboken, NJ and the girl will be going to Washington DC. As sad as I am that my little birds are flying from our nest, it is time. The nine of them together certainly could get into some mischief, usually instigated by my NJ bound boy. There are a few people that are interested in the remaining pups but haven't made a commitment yet. The only one I am worried about is my littlest girl. We call her Peanut because she is so small. She reminds us of the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. She just needs someone special to care for her and we know she will flourish. You can see pictures of the puppies at www. sundancetrd.com. Thanks for checking in!
6 weeks oldAugust 2nd 2008 11:13 am[ Leave A Comment ] Oh my!! I can't believe how the time has flown. The puppies are all running around and created havoc and joy wherever they go. My human has cut back their nursing to once a day which is the only reason I have time to write this. I miss the little guys although their teeth were getting pretty big and pointy. They practically knock me over when they are all nursing, mainly because one is always trying to push someone else off (9 puppies + 8 teats = 1 unhappy puppy). Our little runt is struggling to gain weight but we are all trying to help her and I hope a nice person adopts her. She deserves it, she is a real fighter. 3 have new homes already; one is even emigrating to Germany, where my human is from. There are a few other people interested but they haven't decided for sure yet. If anyone would like one, I can tell you they are very smart and beautiful, just like me ;). Well, that's all for now. Please come back and visit again!
Three Weeks OldJuly 14th 2008 2:11 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Whew! Finally a little relief. My human is now feeding the puppies human baby rice cereal mixed with goat's milk. They seem to like it and BOY!!! do they make a mess. They not only get it all over the faces, they even walk through it. After they are done eating, they lick each other but they just seem to make the mess more spread out. They are all really intelligent. My human put puppy pads in our box and they seem to know what it is for. Because they are all so messy when they eat, we all go outside in the grass so it is easier to clean up. They all seem to know that grass is for pottying as well. Well, I hear them calling me. Till next week...
Two weeks oldJuly 4th 2008 9:41 am[ Leave A Comment ] All nine remaining puppies are doing well and growing quickly. I can even stay out of the box for a little longer now. Most either have their eyes open or are partly open. The littlest ones are also doing a real good job getting up on all four legs and walking for a few steps. The more generously proportioned ones are not yet able to lift themselves. I'm sure they'll be walking soon too. Happy 4th of July and check back next week. Don't forget, you can find out more about my family at www.sundancetrd.com.

Hi again,
BirthJuly 4th 2008 9:34 am[ Leave A Comment ] Today is 18 June and the puppies arrived today. There were 11 total - 5 black males, 3 black females, 1 blue male and 2 blue females. The first one was born at 5:05 am and the last one was born at 8:03 am. I am exhausted but at least I have room to breath again. They are all very hungry and I feel bad because I can't feel them all at once. See, I don't have 11 nipples plus my milk hasn't even come in yet. Well, I am tired so check back later...
