Some how I hurt my neck.
Mom was gone last night and I was fine when she gave me a bath around 4pm yesterday. Mom just had a thaught about that. After my bath and mom towels me off, I rub and dance all over the house to dry off. Maybe I hurt my neck doing that? Anyway, I wouldn't get out of bed thismorning and I didn't want to go down the stairs or outside. I wouldn't eat breakfast. I was shaking. Mom knew something was hurting. So she did a whole bunch of "range of motion" stuff with me and I flinched a little when she pinched my neck. So........off to the vet I went and he REALLY wrenched stuff around and when he turned my head to the left side I squeeked a little and bent my back all out of position to compensate for the bending neck. I'm a very brave boy and I don't show pain like some little dogs do. So for me to squeek means it hurts pretty bad.
The Dr had to work us in today, so we got me some Rimadyl and mom has to do these warm compresses on me several times a day, which I don't like very much. It's a wet and stuff. Then I get a massage after. Mom's sappose to check back with the vet on Tuesday, if it's not improved by then, mom will probably make me have xrays or some other humiliating thing. If anything REALLY goes wrong, then he said she could call him on his cell phone since he's off Sun and Mon. I'm also sappose to be carried down the stairs and have my food dish level with my point of shoulder.
Ho hum...........this getting old is for the birds. I mean what fun is it if I can't even do a little "noodle" dancing after my baths without hurting myself. I don't know if that's why, but it's a theory I guess. Dad told mom that Roxy didn't touch me last night while she was gone.
I'm so done with being messed with for today.
*slumps off, neck all wet, waits for mom to pick him up to go up to the lazy boy chair and nap with daddy*

On Saturday May 15, 2010, mom took Lucy Lu and I to the Oregon Humane Society's Doggie Dash in downtown Portland, Oregon!
Lucy Lu went for her first 3 years and then when we moved out to the country, mom stopped going. This year, mom signed up early online and then she HAD to go! So of course she was going to take Lucy Lu but then she grabbed my collar and leash!!!! I've never been and mom said that it's not fair that I never get to go anywere.
I was a very good boy. We were surrounded by thousands of dogs, big and small, kids, peeps, cars, bikes and I handled it like a champ!
There were 2 different walks and we chose the long one (4 miles) which went over one bridge and to the east side of the Willamette River and then back over the steel bridge, which was a little scary. It lifts for boats and stuff, and makes a lot of metal noises when cars drive over and you walk on it. Lucy was scared to death, but mom just told her it was fine and to keep going, so we did.
The day was a beautiful sunshiny day and the water front was wonderful. Mom usually meets someone down there but this time we were loners. She just turned on Bach on her Ipod and enjoyed the walk.
But our day didn't end there! Portland's Saturday Market was going on, so after we got our ribbons for crossing the finish line, we walked around down town Porland. Finally mom started getting tired and her legs hurt, so we headed back to the car. Which she convieniently parked at the first parking garage she found. 10 blocks away from where Doggie Dash was! So I think we walked at least 10 miles in total. And I made it the whole way. Yes.......even a 9 1/2 year old little guy like me can do it!
Last time mom checked, Doggie Dash 2010 made over 250,00.00 just from online signups!!! That's not counting all the peeps who waited until the day to sign up. It all goes to the animals too! The Oregon Humane Society is the largest shelter in Oregon and has it's own medical wing and investigation team. They help all sorts of animals and do reach out to other states who need help adopting out puppy mill siezures, etc. They have a large dog section, a cat wing and an exotic (bunnies, rats, mice, hamsters)room. They don't keep livestock or birds, but work with foster groups when they get those type of animals.
I'm so glad we were able to help out the homeless and abused animals in need. It felt good to be a useful poodle-noodle! Plus........I got to bless Portland with my magic wee wee juice! And when I say bless, I mean I REALLY blessed all over Portland!!

Golly gee wiz! I never expected to be picked as Diary pick of the day yesterday! I was so excited, I ran hot laps all over the house and the girls started chasing me and Roxy got outa control (emagine that?!) and tried to pound me and Lucy, so she got in trouble! Ha, ha! My favorite 2 things in the world are my dad and watching Roxy get in trouble. *snickers to himself*
Well, I guess this honor means I need to tell mom I need more computer time. When she saw that I hadn't written in my diary since 2007, she asked me why. I told her that when Molly was alive she would hog all the computer time. Before she passed away, she told Lucy Lu she was in charge of our Dogster time. Sometimes I think Lulu is worse at hogging things than Molly ever was! She hogs the couch, the bed pillow mom got for BOTH us little ones so I have to snuggle with dad until I get to hot and then I have to sleep on a dog bed on the floor like, well, a dog! She is ALWAYS on the computer, chatting with her little friends. She finally gave Roxy some computer time lastnight so she could update her profile. She accually MADE Roxy do it! She sais it's an honor to be on Dogster and it is her responsibility to keep her profile up to date. Pups want to know how our pretty Siberian puppy is doing and as she grows, she needs to keep Dogsters updated on her training and put current pix up. The most important thing that Lucy Lu has hogged since the day she came home is MY MOM!!! You all have read my story. It's all true unfortunately and just as I was getting used to being the only little dog in a big dog's world, mom brings home another one. Hmph. AND she's a poo-chin too! At first I hatted the little 3lb pistol. Not only did she steal my momma from me, but I had to share my toys with her, my kennel with her and the covers to the bed too! But after a while I gave up my attitude and now we're bestest friends. But! She IS bossy! And now that Molly is gone, she thinks she owns the place! Including the computer. Needless to say..........between the 2 bossy girls I live with, I have no say. So after HQ honored me with Diary of the day yesterday, I told those bossy girls that I needed more time on the computer and if they didn't give it to me, I'd pee on their heads!BOL! Of course Roxy is too tall for me to do that, but I think you get my point.
To add the humility of being the only boy dog, mom went and shaved me NEKKED! An when I say nekked, I mean she used her shortest blade besides her surgical blades! You can see every one of my 13 little old man bumps (sebatious cysts), all my freckles and pink skin. She even shaved my beard and mustache off! The only fur I have left is a little on my ears and my long tail fur. I do look pretty cute, but boy am I chilly, especially when I have to do my morning buisness. After living with a dog groomer for 9 years, I've gotten used to being a guinea pig. But when I saw Lucy Lu had the same shave down as me, I was in shock! She's never been nekked before and I don't think she likes it very much. While she loves not having all that face fur in her way and being constantly picked at and brushed, she's quite embarassed that all her soft, wavey hair is gone. She's so cold, she shivers all the time, but when mom tries to put a sweater on her, she pitches a fit and refuses to move. So, if she won't wear her sweater, she has to suffer. Personally, I love my sweaters, they keep me warm and fashionable at the same time. But ever since Roxy came to live with us, my love for fashion has been put on hold, as she thinks my clothes are a puzzle for her to see how she can get them off of me! As for Lucy, maybe if she wasn't so chubby, her sweaters would fit her better and maybe she could move better in them. Now that she's nekked, you can see every chubby fat roll!BOL!! Mom calls her her little piggy. I think that's funny! She's even taken to nosing under the covers at night so she can snuggle as tightly as possible to mom's legs. And she sits and shakes unless she can be snuggled as tightly as possible next to mom on the couch, curled up in tight little ball with her tail fur wrapped around her face. If mom tries to move her, she just comes right back. Such a pushy little poochin!
Well, daddy if finally awake, which means I need to go upstairs and protect MY Lazyboy chair from everyone else!
Thanks again HQ for picking my diary yesterday! I am truely honored!
