So I passed my Therapy Dog International exam today! I am so excited that I think I might wag my tail right off! I can not wait to go share my love and lick and slobber peeps til they feel better! I know that my Daddy is up in heaven looking down so proudly at me. He always wanted me to be a Therapy Dog, and well - now I am. My mom was so proud that she cried those happy cries. It has taken a lot of work to get here (with my hips and my fears of slippery floors) - but I DID IT! ARRRRRrrrrooooo! So this one is for you Pops - Mom and I miss you so much...

OMD (Oh my dawg!)
I can not believe that I am Dog of the Day! What an honor! This makes me so happy, at what is an otherwise very difficult time of my life. This really lifts my spirits! My mom had a 'happy cry' when she got the email today.
You see, she has been at the people hospital for 4 weeks with my daddy. My daddy has been diagnosed with brian cancer and had to have brain surgery. I miss my daddy so much that I have had doggie cries about it. The hospital heard how much we miss eachother, so they let me come up to daddy's room for a while. I have been up to see him a few times now. Mommy pulls the recliner right up to daddy's bed and I snuggle with him.
I have not been up lately tho - cuz I have a hard time with the slippery floors in the hospital. I can do it. I just get all shakey scared. I need an appointment with Ceasar Millan so that I can get over my fear of hard floors. Dad may get to come home in a week tho. He is relearning how to walk - and I kinda know what that is like - cus of my hip surgery. He gets better and better every day. He has lots of chemo and radiation to do, but so far is handling it well. Although, I am told he is shedding.
I hope they can come home soon. I miss them so much.
Thank you Dogster for making me Dog of the Day! It really lifted ALL of our spirits during this difficult time. My mere words can not express our gratitude enough for this wonderful award!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Live Strong!

I love snow days! As a matter of fact, I love ‘em so much that I kept ‘woofing’ at the plow trucks to keep them away! If I ‘woof’ at the plows Mommy won’t have to go back to work and she can stay home and play with me furever!
The snow was so deep today that I had to hop around in it! I am sure that we got over a foot! I had so much fun burying my toys and diggin’ ‘em up! It was almost as much fun as MUD! BOL!

Rain, rain and more rain! Oh happy day! Oh joy! Oh boy! Oh boy!
***MUD CONDITION REPORT***
Mud levels are high, with much spring rain yesterday and lots more to come tomorrow! Expect prime slurry by tomorrow night, after a full day of rain. Puddles are great for sloshin' and should double in size quickly! Mud consistentency is at its best in low lying areas. Worms and grubs are back at the surface. Watch for larger puddles tommorrow. Ground is nicely saturated, so, for all of you mud mavens, it will be gloriously gloopy the next few days!
On another note...Life has been good for me these days. I attended my first college party this weekend! and boy was it a hoot! All the college girls were all over me! BOL! It was however a long car ride to Menomonie, but I broke up the time with lotsa singing! ARRRRooooo! I love trips, and I am so grateful that Mom & Dad take me whenever they possibly can!
Well, I gotta go get grungy! This mud is just too good too miss.

My Woofday was the 17th and it was the best Woofday ever! I turned two! My mommy and daddy spoiled me rotten! I got lots of new toys 'n' stuff! I love my new glow-in-the-dark-ball! (I loved it so much I brought it to bed with me!), Mom & Dad stole it from me and tucked it under the covers to see if it really glows - and much to their amazement! IT DID! I ate like a king! I even got a bubble machine that spits out bacon flavored bubbles! I also got a couple of squeaky toys that drive both me (and the neighbors) nuts! Oh happy day! Oh happy Woofday! Eating like a king and getting spoiled rotten! Belly rubs! Butt rubs! Hot dawgs! Mom and Dad made real good and sure to make certain that I knew this was MY day! Boy I lived high on the hog! Oh the life! I love my P's!
My sincerest apologies for the delays in the daily mud condition report. My mum (& my secretary) was out of town...and due to popular request we shall once again, get down to the daily dirt.....
****DAILY MUD CONDITION REPORT****
Mud conditions are still favorable, and remain squishy. Ground frost levels are all gone. Yesterday's rain freshened things up a bit - but without much rain in the forecast ahead, expect the mud to turn to dirt and dry up a bit. Keep a watchful eye out for the birds; as the worms & grubs are at the surface. One must keep a keen eye, to keep the birds from stealing such lively crittters from ones mud pile. I was still able to track the mud in on mum's carpet today, but dry conditions in the days ahead leave little hope of tracking in the house in the latter part of the week. Have no fear, as spring is here, and surely next weeks weather will bring more rain! Grass is beginning to green, and our yellowed yard marks are slowly fading. Spring is here, and the dreaded lawn mowing machines should be tuning up soon. I can not express enough, the persistance it will take to ward off the birds from rooting around in your mud - so stay strong! and scare them off with your best alpha attitude! Thanks to everpup for the requests for the mud report while my secretary was away! Stay dirty! And pawleeze, be sure to show the Robins who is boss!

My Yard! My Yard! My Yard!
Mine and not the birds! That's right! I have been chasing them and trying to sneak up on em! Sometimes I hide behind a tree and then when I see those chirpy little buggers, I dart out at them and try to scare em out of MY YARD!
Don't get me wrong - I think they sing real pretty and all - but this is my yard and I am gonna show them who is boss! They have been stealing the grubs and stuff from my mud! This makes me crazy! My Yard! My Mud!
I try really hard to be sneaky - but mom says I am not so sly!
I go around and around the house to keep those pesky birds from pecking around in my mud!
Mom says I think I am big stuff when I have succeeded in chasing one outta my yard, cus I put on my tough act - which we all know is merely for show. But don't tell the birds that - cus I must stop them from messing with my mud, my yard!

Today I was out playing in the yard and chasing doozie balls 'n stuff and having a blast - until I stepped on a small piece of glass. My mom went into hysterics, thinking I threw a hip out - but no! Thank Dog! It was just a teensie weensie piece of glass. Mommy came to the rescue and held my leg up in the air while daddy ran inside to get the 1st Aid kit. Mom cleaned me up real nice and gave me lots of lovins. I was really scared. I had my tail between by legs for quite a bit there. After about a half an hour I was tromping around just fine. I won't go back to where it happened - even though Mom and Dad made sure the coast was clear. I stay a 10 ft radius away from the scene of the crime and if I get too close my tail goes like a magnet between my legs and my ears drop. It may take me a few days to get over this one! Mom is afraid I will forever avoid that area of the driveway. On the bright side, after I was feeling better, I had a chance to get to the daily dirt...
Todays Mud Condition Report:
Ground condition is still soft, but we will see a firming trend until the next rain. Rain is forecasted towards the end of the week, where we expect mud conditions to improve to some even sloppier stuff. The next few days will still be good for carpet trashing, so tell your mom's to have the steam cleaners handy.

Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy!
I can smell the corn beef briskets! They have been simmering all day! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! I am so excited to have some!
*Wag, wag, wag, wag, wag*
Todays mud condition report is:
Still gooey and gooshy. Puddles are dimishing, but overall mud condition is still grrrrrrrrreat! Expect mud to freeze tonight and then thaw again tommorrow. Tommorrow should be yet another day for sloshing around! So tell yer mum's to get their towels and tubs ready! It is gonna be another dirty day!
I might have to take a nap before the big St. Patricks Day party here tonight! All the rolling in the mud and the suspense of the corn beef briskets are wearing me out!
I am so excited to see so many of my pals signing on to Dogster! It is such a great community! and special barks and wags to all of my swim buddies from Dunkin Dawgs in Janesville!
Woof!

Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
The snow is melting more and my giant puddle has returned! (Oh how I missed my muddy puddle!) I just can't help but splash in it! I can take my toys to see how they float in the puddle! Then I can stomp stomp stomp stomp on 'em to try to sink 'em. I can fill my squeakers with water and then squish 'em so the water squirts across the yard!
My favorite is the muddle! That is the ring of glorious goosh around the outside of the puddle! I love to stomp in the muddle - then the puddle and then the muddle! I always make sure right before I go inside, to tromp right outside the puddle and DIRECTLY in the muddle!
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
